First, I love Chili's and have NEVER been disappointed until now. We went while happy hour specials were being served but the staff was confused what I could order for happy hour in the dining area. We ended up moving over to the lounge area. No big deal. So I informed the waitress that we were going to have happy hour appetizers and drinks. The guys ordered the 2 for 1 draft beer and I specified the "classic" marguerite as it was on special. My marguerita came in a large glass and it was explained that they ran out of the normal glasses. Of course, when the bill came I was charged $3 more and told the "classic" costs more. Not true. But with all that aside, our Mexican dishes came lukewarm and we asked for hot sauce. None available. The food was not freshly served. All I can figure is they waited until my Dads steak was ready to serve. Now, I still love Chili's. And I gave a score of 3 as my Dads meal was perfect. But we will not go to this Chilis again. The staff, although friendly, were slow ( and it was not busy). They also need to know to help customers looking for the happy hour specials. I hate writing a poor review but felt it necessary after this disappointing visit.

We went here for lunch on a Friday. We were seated within 5 minutes. We both ordered the Paella and it was excellent. There are not many good Mexican restaurants in the Albany NY area, but this will be our place to go to for Mexican food.

Was in a couple days ago. There are a few people who work their heart out on this line. Went in the other day and Molly made it happen. That girl needs a raise. This restaurant needs more employees like her. There was one that looked like dead weight but since the grand opening it looks like a team is settling in with the help of Molly.

A large group of us spent a Friday night at Ama Cocina for nouveau Mexican cuisine and were accommodated in the upstairs seating area. We had made reservations such that we wouldn't "surprise" the waitstaff and kitchen upon our arrival. Yet, they seemed surprised. Our drink orders arrived sporadically, as did the appetizers. One part of the group watched as another part of the group partook in their starters, and a similar out-of-phase service was experienced with our entrees. Those of us who had chosen the house margaritas were disappointed by the overwhelmingly tart and acidic lime which masked what, if any, tequila had been poured into the mix. Overall, several of the appetizers and entrees were enjoyable, whereas others were memorable only because of their being mundane. Our experience seems to differ from other recent patrons, and we may have experienced an "off" night all around.
