Jalapeno's Mexican Grille

Half a pitcher of Sangria was really a pitcher of ice and very little wine. Did I say it was tasty but VERY small on the wine content? Next were the blah chips and soupy salsa. Interesting. I wonder where you’d find this kind of salsa !!The grilled chicken burtito had almost no chicken - gimme a break. Not coming back. Ever. I promised myself.

We went on a hot day and were surprised that the restaurant was warm- the a/c either was not working or was turned very low . There were people who left because the restaurant was warm. The food is ok- nothing special. Prices are little higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area. We prob won’t return.

La Hacienda

Reviewed By hikepark

La Hacienda had been our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area --- until the renovation. We were anxiously awaiting its reopening and finally got there this past Tuesday. We were seated quickly and server came right over with the menus and asked about drinks, which was fine. However, when we looked at the menu, we could hardly read it. It had a black background with the smallest grey printing I have ever seen on a menu. I could barely read it, and my wife had to borrow my glasses to see it, and she has excellent eyesight. The food itself was tasty, but luke warm at best. My wife had enchiladas, while I had the chimichangas, which I don't think were made in house, but pre-made and just warmed up. Also, don't sit on the bar side of the restaurant: it was extremely noisy! We literally almost had to shout at each other and we were at a two person table! Will we give La Hacienda another try? YES, because we think it was the best in the area, and hope the disappointment from this visit was just a one timer
