It was right next to our hotel across from Disneyland. Being in Disneyland's epicenter, I thought everything was going to be expensive. On the contrary, the Al Pastor (marinaded pork) and Chile Rellenos plates were only about $8 each. Both were delicious, good portions and they came with two huge homemade tortillas (like 12" in diameter). And the kids meals were only $5. This place was the first place we ate at coming into California and it really set the mood for the entire trip.

We ate here twice on a recent Disneyland trip, once because we wanted to and once because it was the only place open. We ordered the cheese enchilada plate (12.99) both times and tried the Burrito Sonora ($12.49) and the Burrito Guadalajara ($12.99) once each. I'd say the burritos are easily sharable for two people because they are very large. I prefer the Sonora burrito to the Guadalajara burrito because the red sauce was more flavorful.

My wife and I joined our friends Ofelia and Bill for a late breakfast brunch. I have been following Anepalco's for several years and have become acquainted with Maestro Chef & Owner, Daniel Godinez. If you are looking for something unique, Daniel has created some very interesting breakfast dishes, an upscale break from the traditional Mexican dishes.Brunch starter, a Bloody Maria, a variation of the Mary type with Tequila instead. My favorite breakfast dish is the "Huevos Divorciados" or Divorced Eggs. Sounds better in Spanish. It's hard to order anything else, but Chilaquiles, a layer of sauteed cut tortillas, (remenescent of a stack of hots cakes) is a good alternative. Ofelia added 2 yemas (egg yolks) to top it off. Back to my Divorced Eggs! Bright red and green. If you think about it, they are really not divorced, Juntos pero Separados (Together but Separate). Absolutely delicious! Two egg doused in a green "azteca" sauce and the other in a translucent red chili sauce, each egg shimmering and simmering over a tortilla. This dish is not spicy for those who are hesitant. Whether you are separated, divorcing, divorced, married, single or just friends, the Huevos Divorciados is an excellent breakfast dish, only found at Anepalcos!

A good authentic non-chain Mexican restaurant is always on my holiday plans when travelling in the US. Maybe my expectations were too high for being in Southern California and the many great reviews on trip advisor. I thought it was just mediocre. Good enough to take home the leftovers, not good enough to ever go back. Service was good, ambiance not great, ripped booth seat etc. The food is the priority though. Salsa with the chips, nothing special. I ordered shredded beef enchilada which was tasty, beans were very good, rice not great, chicken taco had zero flavor like boiled chicken meat. The chicken soup that came out first was good, a little awkward to eat with very large chunks of chicken and vegetables. A little pricey for portion size and pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream all has to be ordered separately, nothing comes on the plate. Fountain sodas were $3.95 each. Overall weâll try again elsewhere on our next Anaheim trip.

Tortilla Jo's restaurant in Downtown Disney celebrates the culinary heritage of Mexico with authentic south-of-the-border cuisine, table-side guacamole, and a full bar featuring over 100 varieties of tequila. Enjoy the vibrant, pueblo-inspired atmosphere
We didnât expect the food to be amazing but the service was horrible. It took forever to get a server. Then even longer to get drinks. When our food finally came, one of the orders was wrong and they kept trying to serve us something we didnât order. When they realized it wasnât ours, they picked up the other plate OFF OUR TABLE and weâre going to give it to another table, even though I explained that order was correct. They then brought it back. We had to chase someone down to get the check. We eventually got the manager involved who said he would give us a 30% discount and we got 20%. If you have kids-totally avoid. Not Disney service.

More authentic than most of the tourist-oriented restaurants with great interpretations of familiar dishes: for example, the fajitas were distinctly spicy from the restaurant's own signature marinade and come only with corn tortillas (flour being an american version). This is a pretty small place with limited parking, but well worth finding if you're ready for a delicious filling meal!

We wanted a great, local family-run restaurant and Sabroso was recommended by our (Mexican) concierge. We were not disappointed! For an appetizer, we shared a chicken tamale. It was light and flavorful and the biggest tamale Iâve ever had to date (being a tamale aficionado, if itâs on the menu I will order it!)I had tacos. Soft homemade tortillas with so much filling that I ended up eating with a fork. Honey had Chammoro, a house specialty. Like osso bucco, tender beef in a rich, mildly smoky sauce. Delicious!
