The food here is well prepared and way more home-style than the other bigger places. If you speak Spanish it will help you dearly. I have had a few things from the menu and all was pretty good.The atmosphere is not but decent chow!

I usually leave Mexican restaurants disappointed. Not Mexico Lindo- entrees were full of flavour and fresh. The portions are large, I asked and received extra molé sauce and had the best homemade taco chips and salsas. BYOB and enjoy.

Weâve eaten here at TKO several times and Iâm never disappointed. For less than half the price of a dinner anywhere else in downtown Freehold, you can get delicious authentic Mexican food. The menu says the tacos are served with 4 corn tortillas but itâs actually 8 (they stack two, but I take them apart and make 8 tacos, and yes, donât judge me, I eat them all). They have homemade salsa and hot sauce. Iâm glad they added a few tables instead of just having the counter. They do take out too and are open til 10pm if you need a late night bite.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday during their happy hour. Excellent variety of choices offered including chicken flautas which were delicious for $5 and came with jalapeno cream cheese and a mango jelly. Also took advantage of the bottled beer and margaritaâs. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day. Their happy hour options are not always the same however, as we went another Saturday and some of those nicely priced items were not offered. I will say this again & again, just like with Rosalita's in Englishtown, NJ - please take some advice from Jose Tejas in Iselin. Despite where we go, we always end up going back to Jose Tejas since the price for both the quality & quantity of food has them both beat. (They are always packed, so I'm sure they are doing something right.) Although Escondido's is closer to us in Freehold, we will gladly make the drive a few extra miles to get a great deal, great food & atmosphere instead. This place looks really nice inside, but seems a bit pricey.

Love this place for take out. They do have tables, but I have never dined inside. I always love going to the Empanada Guy's food trucks, so to have a location where you can get them anytime- is great. The staff is always very friendly.

Wonderful restaurant in downtown Freehold, serving excellent Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. It's decorated nicely with spacious seating in a casual style. The serving staff is pleasant and professional. We were seated immediately on a Friday night without reservations when we walked in shortly after 7 pm. Loads of wonderful authentic Mexican dishes on the menu. We shared Jalapenos Rellenos, packed with a shrimp and cheese mixture before they were deep fried. Just the thing to start up our appetites - some heat, but not overwhelming.I had a Chicken trio from their specials menu. That included one huge Chicken Jalapenos Rellenos, one Enchiladas de Mole stuffed with pulled chicken, and one Flautes stuffed with chicken and potatoes. The dish came with spanish rice, beans some shredded lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. Everything was delicious. My dinner companions said that they enjoyed their meals as much as I did. Overall, this was a great dining experience at a modest price. Also, BYOB. I recommend it highly.

What a fantastic evening. Sat outside under perfect weather. Perfect staff and perfect meal... What quality! What flavor!! The food is really really that good...Words cannot describe. It was one of the very best meals Iâve ever had.. Thanks to Wackeen (sp) for being such a great host/ manager....
