Reviews on Mexican food in Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana, Brazil. Giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, endangered jaguars and clouds of butterflies are among the attractions at this World Heritage-designated park that marks the border between Brazil and Argentina. By foot or by raft, explorers can view one of the world's most stunning waterfalls, Iguazu Falls. Among the park's 270 waterfalls, spectacular Devil's Throat combines 14 falls and generates a "perpetual rainbow" in good weather.

Myself and three colleagues visited Bel Viale on two occasions during our stay in Foz do Iguaçu - both times the food was excellent, but it was the staff who really made our day! The restaurant is not located in a touristic area, so we were not surprised to find that they didn't speak much English, nevertheless they had a wonderful sense of humour and our efforts to communicate some specific dietary requirements in 'Spanglishese' was great fun (it's difficult to be a lactose-intolerant vegetarian in Brazil, but we managed it!). Highly recommended.

I noticed the great ratings here. Unfortunately i would have given zero if it was possible. after an hour and a half of wait after ordering our food, We decided to complain and hold and behold, we found out that our orders are not even on the way to be cooked. Problem with the kitchen they said. so we told them that they have 5 minutes to prepare everything or we leave. They bought one dish out of four just to make us wait some more. And the dish wasn't even warm.So we decided to leave. we paid the drinks we finished after almost 2 hours of wait in the end. And they dared make us pay for 10% service charge, which i refused of course. We left the bar only a few minutes ago. I wanted to make sure to write everything down here before i forget the details. This place is packed, it might be a great place to have a drink and watch football games but definitely not a place to eat. We unfortunately made that huge mistake.Hello!I'm sorry.I will pass on the complaint to those responsible.

The food is tasteless, hasn't got much to do with Mexican food, more like Brazilian food imitating Mexican food... the spicy food isn't spicy at all, the beans taste like regular Brazilian beans and the nachos were soft. The restaurant is quite dark. But the service was quite OK and the decorations made my kids happy so it wasn't a complete waste of time.
