Reviews on Mexican food in Evansville, Indiana, United States. Situated on a gentle bend of the Ohio River at the hub between Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, Evansville is a sizable metropolis with small town friendliness. There is something for everyone to discover, whether it is a chance encounter with Lady Luck on the riverboat Casino Aztar, a brisk hike along the Riverfront promenade, a step into history at Angel Mounds State Historic Site, fun with the family at Kid's Kingdom or an escape to verdant Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage.

My boyfriend would not stop raving about El Patron so we went here for a date night. Our server was kind, hilarious, and made the experience even better. The portions were large, so that is something to keep in mind when ordering. Food was fresh, hot, and served within 15 minutes so we were pleased with that. We'll be back for sure!

We have made four trips across the river to this restaurant over the past year and have never once been disappointed. The servers are friendly, helpful in explaining the dishes and very attentive. The food is wonderful - it is served hot. there is plenty of it and is soooo good! They also serve FREE chips and salsa. And to top it off, the prices are just as good, and they also have some daily specials! We will continue to go back as it appears to be far above several of the other mexican restuarants in the area.

This restaurant is a wonderful place to eat. My mom celebrated her birthday here with the family and we also celebrated an anniversary. This particular restaurant also has had once a month live entertainment in the form of a Mariachi Band.We missed out on it but will try again to see them soon.

One of our favorite places to go on date night is Los Bravos. We are picky about the location as some managers take better care of their stores than others do. There is also a difference in the staff. We did not have to wait long at all when walking in and were seated near the water well. My date ordered carne asada with all of the fixings and I got the Elvarrata ( spelling). We had chips and salsa to munch on while waiting and since it was a long week we got the guacamole table side service. We had a fantastic server and a few of my dates friends stopped by to say hi that also work there. After dinner we went to the mall to walk off our meal.

And that's saying something, because I love Mexican food. The food is wonderful. I've been there dozens of times and try to get something new every time, and I still haven't had everything on the menu. I would recommend the Chilaquiles or La Birria. The place is very family friendly, and the staff is great with helping you make your food choices. I love La Campirana!
