Es Castell (Spanish: Villacarlos) is a small municipality in eastern Menorca in the Balearic Islands, Spain. The town was founded in 1771 by British Col. Patrick Mackellar and was originally called Georgetown in honour of King George III; however, it takes its current name from the large fort nearby, known to the British as St. Philip's Castle. Col. Patrick MacKellar (Argyllshire 1717-1778) was the chief engineer of Menorca and his house today is known as Son Granot. Es Castell celebrates its Foundation Day on 1 June with 18th-century themed festivities, in which the Municipality itself, St. Philip's Castle Foundation, Son Granot and other institutions participate.

Restaurante de comida Mexicana, Mediterranea y fusion, 100% casera. 100% homemade Mexican, Mediterranean and fusion food restaurant.
Thank you Chef David and your team for making us feel so very welcome on both occasions we ate here. The menu has some interesting options - Mexican but with a Mediterranean influence. Each dish we tried was fresh and flavourful, generously portioned and served in a timely manner. We tried 6 different dishes in all and loved all of them. 2 dishes in particular we ordered again the second time around - the Mexican salad and the chicken enchiladas, were just so delicious! I also want to make mention of the excellent service. The wait staff were all really friendly and attentive and Chef David on both occasions came out and personally talked to the guests at each table to make sure everyone was happy. He really seems to love his work and it shows in his cooking!! Thank you again for the great food and experience.

Our opening time on bank holidays is from 12:00 to 16:00.
Some people said that is a mandatory place to eat in Mahon but my experience was not good. The food is acceptable... but only acceptable, so the price is expensive related with the quality and the taste of the food. Probably is not a good idea to eat in a Mexican when you are in an island plenty of good fish.

Went there as my sons (17, 14 and 8 years old) begged for Mexican (and the Mexican figure out the front of the restaurant called to him). It is (I would think) mainly takeaway food, but their service was quick (and friendly) and they had English menus (always a bonus). The burritos were large and yummy (by all counts) and the food filled us up for more beach exploring. If you go there expecting gourmet food, or special Mexican delights, you may be disappointed. For us, it was what it was, and we enjoyed it.
