My friend and I were enjoying a girlsâ weekend away, and Mexican food is always a must for us. The chips and salsa are some of the best weâve had. The chips are warm and so good I actually considered ordering the nachos. I had the Burrito Asada with rice and refried black beans. Much to my delight, the burrito was swimming in cheese sauce. I asked for the green tomatillo sauce to be served on the side because I wasnât sure if I would like it, but I did. My friend sampled some of the sauce and was a huge fan. She had the Burrito De Lujo, which is ground beef picadillo topped with cheese, a spicy red sauce, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, and she very much enjoyed her meal as well. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. In fact, every employee in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

FlexMex cuisine combined with awesome margaritas, great beer selections, and a "friends serving friends" atmosphere! What is FlexMex? A cuisine that resembles Tex-Mex but is comprised of and influenced by many cultures. It is an attitude or experience tha
We went online and reserved a table for 5 couples. One couple cancelled last minute but that did not cause a problem with the restaurant staff, no issue. Drinks were delivered quickly, food options were plentiful, 2 orders of chips/guac/queso/salso were gobbled down by all and food was delivered in perfect time. I wish I would have retained the server's name, she is due in a couple of weeks but hustled just the same and provided outstanding service. It was a wonderful experience as stated by all couples.

There is no shortage of ethnic foods in Gwinnett County but those that stand out as clean, friendly, and great food are few and far between. We went to Alebrije for lunch today on the recommendation of a friend. It was much better than I expected. My wife ordered a chicken salad with pineapple and jicama-she ate all she wanted and brought half of it home in a go box.I ordered the standard Huevos Ranchero.....probably the best Iâve ever had. The three eggs were perfectly cooked at over easy. They were on a base of crisp tortillas and covered in a spicy chorizo sauce. Frijole Negros of the side rounded it out. I did everything but lick the plate. Exceptional dish. Absolutely worth a visit. We will be back.

Felt like a more upscale J. Buffaloâs (another similar wing eatery). Service was kind of confusing; the place had an âorder at the counterâ feel to it but they brought menus to your table and took your order, but provided minimal service and didnât check in on us once delivering the food. The loaded fries were good although if I tried them again I think Iâd try the beef instead of the chicken (not the highest quality chicken used). The wings were large and my husband said the ranch served with them was excellent. If you order wings they take a minimum of 15 minutes. Prices were decent. Tables were very close together; I felt like I was on a date with the couple next to us.

I was out buying falcon gear for the big game and decided to have an early dinner. I decided to goto El Torero off of Satelite Blvd for quick meal.As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an associate and advised to sit anywhere. There is plenty of seating throughout the building.Immediately the waiter took my drink order then another waitress brought me water, chips and salsa. The wait staff is very attentive.I ordered the Texas Margarita and a Steak & Shrimp Fatijia Quesadilla with a side of rice. The drink came out immedately. OMG!!!! that drink was just what the dr ordered. It was tasty and STRONG. You only need 1 of these drinks to take the edge off. 2 of these drinks, you might need to call an uber.My meal came out shortly after the drink. It was 1 Steak & Shrimp Fatijia Quesadilla. It was full of onions, peppers, cheese and flavor. The steak was very tender & so tasty. The shrimp was cooked well & very tasty. The rice was just ok. I willnot ordered the rice again. The one quesadilla was big enough if you are not starving. It came with quac, sour cream, lettuce & pico. I LOVED MY MEAL and I will eat here again.I would highly recommend El Torero & I would suggest trying the Steak & Shrimp Fatijia Quesadilla & the Fabulous Texas Margarita.

The food here is pretty good. the atmosphere is friendly and hopping. The fact that is in town and near the RR tracks makes it nostalgic. This place was built from the ground up and it looks like it was an old garage. The décor is nice and variety of food is with a Mexican flair. The biggest problem I have with this place is they charge you for EVERYTHING! Salsa, sour cream, guacamole - all an extra charge! If they want to compete, there are plenty of Mexican restaurants around that give you a lot more for your money. That being said, if you do not care about that, you will enjoy this place.Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed our food and atmosphere! We take pride in preparing everything in-house from scratch with only the best ingredients so that we can provide our Guests with only the best! Therefore, our prices may be a tad bit higher with these add-ons due to the high-quality ingredients. We can't wait to have you back again soon! Best Regards, Peyton

We were out of town and decided to give this place a try because it was Cinco De Mayo. HUGE mistake!! We have a large group of 13 and the waiter told us it was his 4th day ever serving. NO ONE helped him! We ended up having to write down our own drink order and take it to the bar and then 1 hour later we still didn't even have drinks. 2 hours after we arrived we finally got our food and it was absolutely disgusting! My plate had some kind of brown liquid all over it and it looked like someone tried to wipe it off but instead just ended up smearing it all over the plate. I ordered fajitas and what a huge disappointment. No one ever asked if we wanted anything else to drink and we had to get up and get our own refills on water. They had these buckets set up on chairs behind our chairs where they were piling up dirty dishes and scraping old food off of plates. One of the women in our group has a severe citrus allergy and she and about 5 of our group ended up getting up and walking out because we could see the cross contamination happening in the kitchen from our seat and she was just too afraid to take a chance with them not being able to handle proper preparation for a food allergy. Absolutely no one in any management capacity was there to support their staff or care for us as customers. Not sure who owns this place but I highly recommend some training or you probably won't be in business very long.Thank you for the feedback. You are absolutely right, we should have never allowed a group your size to get seated with our newest team member. By the time we realized it had happened, damage was done. And of course being Cinco de Mayo all problems were magnified. We do however take our sanitation and cross contamination seriously. Unfortunately being a very small restaurant, our buss cart does sit near the back table, and of course again being cinco - we could barely keep up with the incoming dishes. On top of all this, it was a Sunday and we were extremely understaffed for the cinco rush :(We sincerely apologize for your less than acceptable experience. Feel free to reach out to me directly through our website so that I may attempt to further amend for your experience - Andrew, owner, operator, dishwasher on 5/5/19

Mavericks Cantina is a family owned and operated, So-Cal Mexican Cantina offering fresh cuisine in a casual atmosphere.
They serve great margaritas and have great Cali style tacos. Outdoor seating and indoor ambience is very nice as well.
