The Pepper is similar to a Hamburger Steak except stuffed with spicy jalapenos and cheese and topped with grilled onions and brown gravy. I asked for the gravy on the side. the food is great and I would return.

We have friends that have been here a number of times.....a "stand-by" spot to grab a cheap meal after a round of golf nearby. So, we joined them recently. We had the beef fajita quesadilla. Disappointing. The flour tortilla was dry as a bone, and the beef was either tremendously overcooked, or had sat for an extended period after being cooked. Yes, it was a cheap meal.....we got what we paid for. To be fair, our friends had some of the Mexican plates, and did not suffer the same experience.

Maria's is open Saturday and Sunday till noon. She has wonderful and cheap breakfast tacos. She is pretty packed with a small line on the weekends. Great before golf or after hunting or any weekend breakfast.
