We ordered the chips and guac. Chips looked fresh and crunchy but a bit too thick for my taste. The guac was okay, but nothing special. The salad was disappointing and looked like plain tomato sauce with some onions and cilantro thrown into the mix. The salsa had zero flavored and would have been more flavorful with some garlic and maybe a few jalapeños or better yet have a spicier blend with some added tomato paste to give it more of a vibrant color. A chipotle salsa would be a great spicy option. I ordered the veggie fajita and was happy to hear there would be mushrooms with the mixed pepper and onions and opted for the corn tortillas and cheese on the side. My BF ordered the chicken fajitas with the cheese melted on top. The way quality of the chicken was good. The beans and rice were rather plain and tasteless. The canned mushrooms in my veggie fajita was rubbery and not fresh to the taste. At least they have some Cholula to kick up the spice some. I also didn't get any cheese on the side as requested but I wasn't bothered by it at all. Food was average. The veggies had a nice grilled flavor and color at least. The waiter and manager were attentive and checked on us regularly. The food quality could use a bit more tweaking, it has potential.

we go here about twice per year. when it first opened, the food was consistently good and the service decent. but the lines were long. The food is mexican-ish.....maybe tex-mex is closer description.After a few years into operation, we no longer have to wait. food quality is all over the map. sometimes decent, often not very good. we have tried take out twice and the wait time is insane and both times the order was either incorrect or incomplete.I wish there was better mexican-ish food in the area - we really only go because of the convenience.

This is a great place to try if you like latin food and want to expand your tastes. This is an authentic Salvadoran restaurant. They have papusas and empanadas which are great. They also offer more traditional latin fare such as tacos and enchiladas. The tacos al pastor are great and cheap. We have been here weekly for the last couple months. My wife and I had the complimentary chips and salsa, 2 soft drinks, 1 papas that comes with slaw and hot sauce, and 3 tacos, and our bill was just over $10!. These are not skimpy tacos either, they have lots of filling and flavor. Lots of their customers appear to be of the same or similar ethnicity, so this always tells me, its authentic and good!

So what do you expect, a hundred miles south of the 45th parallel - genuine Mexican with a drive through window just isn't happening. However, Del Taco knocks the socks off Taco Bell, and believe it or not, their french fries are probably the BEST in the industry. They aren't on every corner, so swing in when you spot one.
