Although Chuy's is an Austin favorite, this one did not provide a good experience. We were seated promptly at around 8:30 this evening. First impression, "This is a noisy (painfully loud) place."1) We saw our waitress (Sydney) when she brought our chips and salsa and took our drink orders.2) We saw her when she returned with our drinks, but said she was not ready to take our order.3) She returned after a short time and took our order.4) Saw her again when she told me the kitchen was out of the sauce for my order. So, I had to change my order without the benefit of the menu. 5) Food delivered by kitchen staff; never saw waitress. She never checked to see if we got our order and if we were satisfied with its preparation.6) Saw waitress as I was taking my last bite. She inquired if my wife wanted another Dr. Pepper; did not inquire about a refill of ice tea for me.7) Returned with Dr. Pepper; still, no offer to refill my glass.8) Waved at waitress and requested bill. She cleared the table as she left.9) Returned with bill and announced she would wait for payment and save herself a trip back.10) Paid with cash, forcing her to make change, requiring a trip back.Food ok, nothing outstanding; enchilada tortillas a little tough. Service lousy.Oh, did I mention...... place is too noisy. Could not hear my wife in a booth for two.

My first time visiting. I received great service after sharing this information. I was recommended what to order. I had pork and chicken taquitos dorados. The chicken out does the pork miles. The service and food was good. I will return. This is an upper Mexican restaurant so pricing is higher than most Tex-Mex nearby places.

The Salsa....check. The Guacamole....check. The Molcajete Chilaquiles...priceless. I had the individual size which actually feeds two. The molcajete is large and it is filled with Grilled veggies like bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms as well as chicken and beef fajitas. The order comes with 3 tortillas but you will need much more than three. The rice is good but the charro beans are nothing to brag about. My wife had the skillet of beef fajitas for one but it was more than enough for two hungry adults. The service was good and the decor is quite festive. There are a couple of TVs in the bar area if you like to keep up with futbol on one TV and whatever sport is active or live on the other. The price is quite reasonable.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant a few times and really love it. This place is always buzzing with customers. At times you have to wait, and the place is not that small. Service is excellent, even when busy. The sauce for the chips is excellent. Great flavor and a good spice. I had the Enchiladas De Mole. It was great and the mole poblano sauce was very tasteful. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. Of course you get rice and beans. If you come on a Friday evening. Be prepared for the place to be busy and a line outside. But its worth the wait. Also, because of the location, in an area wherethere are other businesses, the parking can become premium.

No complaints here - just great service, great food and great atmosphere. While we have tried several Tex-MEx restaurants in Austin, this one overall is the easiest to get into (parking, wait time, food deliver). So for the most part, this will be the place we go when we are in Austin.

Went for lunch. We ordered queso and it was warm ( not hot). 1/2 lb. of beef fajita is $24.95. The majority of entrees are $11-13. There is plenty of parking. There is a bar area.
