Stopped in on the long drive from Laramie to Billings. Was greeted promptly and seated. I got an Arnold Palmer and ordered the Patty-melt with onion rings. I was not expecting to get one of the best patty-melts I've ever had but...Wow! This thing was great! Soft gooey cheese with marbled rye and great O-rings. The red onions were a little stringy and dry but everything else hit the spot. If you are here and have the time. Try it for yourself!

Don't trust the pictures on those billboard ads! The way your order comes from the kitchen is as if the cooks threw up on the plate. No competition for any food network applicant. The potatoe specialty was like slop! The taco on a bun had no flavor, but the bun was soggy! These guys just don't have it together enough to qualify among fast food places. On the bright side, the soda machine worked fairly well.

Took a while to get my food, but I guess they actually make it in there instead of having them pre-made.... I got some crispy burritos (big taquitos), and they were really good. It wasn't a 60 seconds or less per car situation though. The 5-alarm burrito was really good too. The tortilla was fresh and it was actually spicy (something I wouldn't expect at a fast food place)

Highly recommended by 2 young locals at Werner Wildlife Museum (also worthwhile), we enjoyed our lunch (she:mixed tacos; me: chilies verde w/beans & rice) plus good guac., chips & salsa...washed down w/a good 'cerveza'/beer. Friendly service also a plus. Not fancy, but really authentic...NOTE: my green chili's spicy level was intense; I love it!

Don Juan Mexican Restaurant

I don't recall whether I liked the food or not because the service was so terrible both times we visited. We are quiet, undemanding people but one does expect a menu and a glass of water without waiting fifteen minutes in an almost empty restaurant then having to specifically ask for those things (we asked politely). We thought perhaps the first time was a fluke and returned after hearing others talk about good food. Fifteen minutes after we got there, people who came in after us had been served and we didn't have menus. We left. We haven't gone back.

La Costa Mexican Restaurant

Reviewed By Debra S

A friend and I had dinner at La Costa due to her raving about the food. My experience convinced me that people in Casper have set the bar extremely low for great Mexican food, and customer service. After looking at the menu, I discovered that La Costa serves mostly Tex-Mex (Americanized Mexican food via Texas) rather than Mexican food. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Tex-Mex cuisine; it's just not Mexican food. La Costa's extensive menu is filled with non-Mexican food items, such as: fajitas (Tex-Mex); chicken and steak carnitas (not carnitas or Mexican); chimichangas (first created in Arizona); camarones a la crema ("Mexican style" alfredo sauce?); nachos (definitive Tex-Mex food); so-called traditional fish tacos served with lettuce and tomato (What happened to the cabbage and white sauce?); enchiladas sunrise (a dish from New Mexico, not Mexico, featuring fried eggs); and numerous items served with cheddar cheese (definitely not Mexican food due to the type of cheese). My dinner companion ordered the beef fajitas. The item arrived lukewarm with burnt bell peppers and onions that were more suitable for use as drawing charcoal rather than part of a meal. The beef was stringy and had an unappealing flavor similar to burnt garlic. The accompanying corn tortillas were room temperature, which made them impossible to bend without breaking. Given the temperature, texture and taste of the entree, my friend had two bites of the food. The cheese and onion enchiladas I ordered were equally disappointing. The entree consisted of room temperature melted cheese and burnt onions inside flour rather than corn tortillas, topped with an unpalatable "special enchilada sauce." I can best describe the enchiladas as a revolting mess, of which I had one forkful. After waiting fifteen minutes for our server to reappear, we asked the person clearing a nearby table to bring the front house manager to talk to us about the food. We then waited approximately ten minutes before our server arrived with the bill. I explained that the food was inedible, and we had been waiting twenty-five minutes to speak to someone about it. In response, our server stated that we had to pay the bill. She then walked away without offering to resolve the matter. We eventually spoke with management, who apologized and offered to provide meals of our choice at no charge, which we both declined.Neither my friend nor I have any desire to eat at La Costa again. At best, our experience was extremely unpleasant.

We had a pharma business lunch at the office and he brought QDOBA in. The staff ALWAYS likes it. There was plenty of burrito chicken and beef with ALL the fixings including brown / cilantro rice, black / pinto beans, multiple salsas lettuce, fajita veggies and anything you could want to put together a nice Tex-Mex meal. There was plenty to eat and the office was able to take home enough leftovers for dinner and / or another meal for the next day.

Wow the food is the same as ever it’s good but wow did they raise the prices since they remodeled. Are there for lunch and it seems like their prices have doubled. Good food but not with the prices they are charging any longer. Sorry to say won’t be my stop for Mexican food in casper as there are other great choices that are affordable.

Seated right away. Service was prompt. Servings are big, very big. Food was good and not too pricey. No green sauce only regular red sauce. Red sauce was rather mild. So without green sauce I'm not sure how to spice it up. Definitely would return.
