Things to do in Carpentersville
We were a bit put off, they seem to be focusing on the local Mexican community which comes through when you look at the menu on the wall. Some items have English translations but much of it doesn't so if you don't know Spanish things get tough. We went simple with tacos and a burrito but didn't understand half of the options available to us. That said the food was very good and much spicier than most Mexican places we go to and we love Mexican food and have been to just about place in many miles.
Ich habe Mittagessen bei Taqueria Victoria gegessen.Die Gaststätte ist einfach ausgestattet. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich gewesen.Die Tacos von Rund und Hähnchen habe ich bestellt. Sehr lecker authentisch mexikanische. Ohne Texas/California Einfluss.Alles prima einfach zu empfehlen.

Have been here several times, and always an excellent experience. We like non-spicy food, and the staff has helped us figure out which choices are best. Also have made guacamole for us with no spicy ingredients. This restaurant is highly recommended!
We were greeted in a very friendly manner upon arrival for lunch and picked our seat. Instead of chips and salsa, we were surprised with bowls of homemade chicken tortilla soup. Very flavorful! My wife ordered the tampiquena de res o pollo and I ordered chicken fajitas. Hers came with the chicken dish, and 2 cheese enchiladas. My chicken fajitas were very flavorful, although I could have used a few more tomatoes. Many places donât do tomatoes in fajitas, so this was a victory for me. I was surprised there was no lunch menu, but if you like seafood, this might be the place for you. Very extensive choices. Overall, a very tasty meal. Will definitely be back to try their tacos. They looked delicious.
Love Chipotle and this location is up to par with the standard I've experienced before. They bring in fresh produce and meats and prepare the food fresh each day. Portions are generous and the atmosphere, intentionally stark, is a good place to sink your teeth into a good burrito or burrito in a bowl. The wife loves the guacamole and she's an expert! So many varieties and options, you won't get tired of Chipotle.

This makes my third visit to Salsa Street Mexican restaurant. Two friends joined me for their first experience for lunch on 7.28.17. Salsa Street features 6 or 7 different salsas so I requested samples for my friends Chips and tomatillo salsa were fresh and refreshing as starter. Chips and salsa area real treat. All three of us are salsa enthusiasts so going to Salsa Street was to be a salsa adventure. Please keep in mind that tacos are the featured fare with other offerings supplementing the large taco menu. Friend #1 being a vegetarian ordered "Mexican Street Salad" which was rated as very good. One of the sample salsa selections served as dressing for the salad. Friend #2 and I both ordered the "Big Salsa Street Burrito' He the steak and seasoned pork for me. The burritos were a nice size and filling. Mine was tasty and mixed with one of the spicy salsas made my mouth happy. I opted to drop black beans in favor of the re-fried beans served separately. If You like refried beans give these as try, they may be the best ever. My friends steak burrito didn't quite meet expectations because of some non edible / grizzle in the steak. He also stated that there was a a very limited amount of steak and to finely diced. Given that 2 out of three meals hit the mark, not to bad considering my friends disappointment in the amount of steak. After Three visits I'll rate Salsa Street with a conditional 4 stars (or circles). One mutual disappointment for all of us was the minimal amount of salsas that accompanied our meals. One would think that the restaurants name, Salsa Street, would feature their unique salsas and even have a salsa bar. No such luck thus far but just maybe the owners may connect the dots in their name to feature their unique salsas and encourage more repeat business.

This restaurant is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area (and there are plenty of them). We really have never had a bad meal or experience, and we have been here many, many times over 15 years. The family who owns it and actively operates it is friendly, inviting and their reflects their values. We will go back there many more times as long as we are in the area.

Family owned traditional Mexican restaurant since 1984.
If you are in a hurry for dinner then this is your place. Though it is a bit more TexMex than Mexican, it is really good. Never got a bad meal ever here. The Margaritas are fab. The guacamole and salsa are really good!!
