We had lunch indoors because it was a bit cool outdoors. The margaritas were very pricey but good. The beer was reasonable. We split steak fajitas and I'm sure glad we split it. The steak was cut kind of big and we had to cut it. The flour tortillas were thin and good. The chips were good and the salsa was hot and excellent. Service was very nice and friendly. Angle parking on the street is free. Located in the historic district.

We appreciated that the food was made quickly and the prices were reasonable, but the taste was just average. We enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Nice location close to the beach and the environment is great, but unfortunately the food and drinks just don't match the pretty facade. I ordered a banana margarita and my Husband ordered a raspberry one. I couldn't taste even the slightest hint of banana in mine, so i complained to yhe waiter. He argued with me that's how the mix taste. My Husnad's raspberry margarita tasted like premade manufactured syrup. The salsa for the chips & salsa was the worst salsa that I have ever eaten. It was pure tomato paste with the slightest amount of peppers added possible. It was weird. For dinner, I ordered the crab enchiladas. The verdi sauce was straight from the can. It had that sharp "tin" taste and was horrible. Nothing we had was fresh. We were so disappointed.

Señor Grubby's started in 2008 by a group of local guys looking to put a twist on the local Mexican fair. After numerous trips to Mexico and local Mexican & American breakfast spots they noticed missing elements that they wanted to highlight. Grubby's is
We stopped by for lunch. We both had burritos & both were flavorless, odd for mexican food. The burritos are huge tho. Very disappointed after reading the reviews. Very casual, you get your own drinks & the soda fountain was covered in gnats. Makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is,

Our group stopped here twice during a fun weekend. First, we came by in the evening for drinks and dancing. We ended up coming back the next morning for bloody maryâs and breakfast. My cheesy avocado toast was delish and it was awesome sitting by the fire pit and having a relaxing start to the day.

I craved battered fish tacos and came upon this restaurant based on a google search. The friendly hostess seated me right away. They offer many different types of tacos and burritos, but I zeroed on the fish tacos. The meal began with chips salsa and queso. The latter is very tasty, and unexpected. I also ordered a virgin mojito. My server, Chase, was friendly and attentive. My plate arrived and the first thing I noticed was the amount of shredded cheese used in the tacos and on the refried beans. I like shredded cheese as much as the next person, but Iâm more interested in tasting the flavors. I had to remove the chunks of cheese just so I could eat the fish with the cabbage and tortilla shell. I couldnât finish my beans because they mixed in too much cheese. I paid a total of $20 (inclusive of tip) for my meal. Iâm willing to return, but will certainly ask for them to hold the cheese.

Indulge in authentic award-winning Mexican cuisine amidst lavish dining rooms and an enchanting outdoor patio at Casa de Bandini, located at The Forum in Carlsbad.
We visited with a large family of 10 this evening and were treated to excellent service. We started with one of their tasty margaritas and selected with some difficulty(many items to choose from) an entree off the extensive menu. Chili Colorado was my choice. I especialy enjoyed the housemade corn tortillas served with dinner. The large portions that were served satisfied our entire group. The old world decor and beautiful patio area as well as a large bar area made for an inviting dining experience.
