Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Cape May. Yes, Cape May is, technically, on the Jersey Shore. But it’s the antithesis of the Jersey Shore you’ll see on TV—instead of nightclubs and tanning parlors, you’ll find Victorian mansions and a famous lighthouse.

Nothing fancy. Walk up to the counter and order your food. Find a table and your plastic ware will be brought to you.So will the great empanadas you just ordered. You can choose from about fifteen different fillings. I had the chicken/cheese, beef/carmalized onions, pork/provolone and some others. They were all great. For about ten bucks you can get five of them with sauce and sides of rice/beans and a red cabbage/carrot slaw. And, the empanadas were filled with filling, not just a bunch of pasty dough.

Sharing my roots, the true Mexican and specifically Oaxacan cuisine and gastronomy that I learned from my culture. My greatest wish is to bring the light and fresh foods one might find on a beautiful Mexican beach to the shores of Cape May, NJ. - Lucy Cov
We found this place by accident and were very pleased with the service and food. The food is authentic Mexican. The enchiladas and fijatas were wonderfull. The servers and staff were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place. The only down side is it is BYOB. They will make margaritas for you if you bring your own tequila.

Inexpensive and tasty Mexican food on the road into Cape May. Authentic food is affordable but the ambiance is minimal and parking can be challenging to enter and exit.
