Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Buckeye. Buckeye is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona and is the westernmost suburb in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The population was 62,582 in 2015. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in the US; in 2016, it placed seventh.

This is a Sports Bar connected to the Mexican fast food restaurant but they are not part of the Filiberto's chain. The food is reasonably priced, but there is a reason - The quality is not very good. And with a name like Filiberto's you would think that you could get Mexican food but you can't.The waitress took our order in long hand, wrote every single letter to our order which was a bit time consuming but at least she got it right. As for the bar- they need a real bartender. I asked for a scotch on the rocks. Waitress came back and asked what brand and I told her that the "House" scotch would do. She returned again and said that they did not have that brand, what else would I like. I told her that it was not a brand, I wanted the house or well scotch. The bartender then came over to tell me that they didn't carry either one of those brands. When I asked what brands he had he said that he would get me a list at which time I ordered a beer instead.
This little place is where Hwy 86 and Monroe split. It was the only eatery open for supper in that part of town. It doesn't look very special, but seemed inviting for people who appreciate something better than Taco Bell or chain tex-mex. We're glad we stopped in.It is "order at the counter". There are a few tables with high stools. Many came in for take-out while we were there. The traditional offerings include sopes with a good variety of meats. Both of our meals were well under $9.00, and were very, very good!
I've eaten here quite a few times, actually, I've driven through for take out quite a few times. Prices aren't outrageous, service is relatively quick and the food has always been good.
After many miles on the freeway I wandered onto the old road through Downtown Buckeye and discovered on its East Side one of the tastiest breakfast burritos I've ever found in a Mexican fast food restaurant. Ramiro's burrito was loaded with steaming scrambled eggs, sausage, real white cheese and embellished with a squeeze bottle of ample hot salsa (none of those stupid sauce packets) all wrapped in a fresh, hot flour tortilla which I washed down with a fresh horchata drink. I'm so glad I discovered this place. You old school roadie fans will relish the fact that Ramiro's sits astride old US Highway 80, also known as the transcontinental Bankhead Highway (Washington DC to San Diego, laid out in 1916) and offers a bit of the traditional 1960s drive-thru look and feel. There is plenty of room inside to dine and parking is adequate. Ramiro's is not close to I-10 though and you will have to check your maps and navigate the 10 or so miles to its location, but it will be worth the detour. Bottom line: Good, cheap Mexican fast food that will chase your hungries away.

Located in a strip mall south of Walgreen's on Miller, tucked in between a barber shop and insurance office, yes it is hard to find. Good service but it was not busy the two times I have been there so hard to say what it is like during the rush. Very nice gentleman took my order, great chips and salsa with a nice presentation. I was a bit disappointed with the Tamale, no corn husk and the masa seemed over processed and too smooth, flavor was good. Chile relleno mediocre too but OK. They use Anaheim pepper I think rather than Pablano. I'll order something else next time. I do not think either item is house made. On Another visit I had a Machaca Chimi that was OK but a HUGE tortilla, so most of the meal was flour tortilla. Also not a fan of condiment cups set on my plate, not sure how clean the bottoms of those are. Sides of Rice and Beans $4.50, seems a bit steep, Nice clean atmosphere, restroom was clean however toilet was out of order. Great parking
In our party there were orders for a Veggie Bowl, a Steak Bowl, a Quesadilla, a chicken salad and a Steak Burrito. All meats and veggies were fresh and hot. The burrito was huge and stuffed with rice, beans, steak, lettuce and cheese. Everything was delicious and the service was fast as we were the only ones in line at about 3pm. The restaurant was clean and cool, which was extremely important on this very hot Arizona Day.
Every time that I have visited an El Pollo Loco I have been impressed. The service is friendly and the food is great. What more can you ask for? They have a huge grill when they prepare the chicken and it seems to work for them. I got a kick out of the young lady with the meat clever taking apart those chickens. Don't ever get her mad at you.

Ok little hole in the wall with the typical breakfast offerings in these types of places! Service was great! Don't let the run down look chase you away, it's a good hole in the wall type place don't expect much, just some tasty greasy type foods you look for in these types of places.

Arrived for dinner, had to wait for menus. Chips served in small bowl, salsa was in a pourable container...One margarita and one coke, 10 minute wait. Placed order, asked for cheese enchilada with no sauce, chicken street tacos and some guacamole. Second at table ordered fajitas. 40 minute wait for food. Asked where our food was, and was told they were short a server, but since she wasnât responsible for cooking that excuse just didnât make sense. Food arrived and was incorrect. Even our server realized the mistakes and offered to correct, but we didnât want to wait another half hour for corrections.

I felt a little out of place, I was not one of the regulars. The food and service was good because we were there at the end of the breakfast rush. I was not impressed that the restrooms were outside of the building; round back! I would not recommend it to seniors with walking disabilities.
