After hearing friends talk about the food here, I decided to give it a try for dinner. I had a steak taco salad, very small, not much lettuce, the steak was ok, but a piece was mostly gristle. It was made with black beans, which I liked. The steak Burrito was just ok, too much sour cream inside, however I think the tortillas are fresh made. The cheese Quesadillas was good, but not worth the trip here. Have enjoyed much better Mexican food elsewhere for less.

Was seated outside for lunch and was very pleased. Lots of food options to choose from. I had the enchiladas and they were very tasty. Parking available directly across the street. There are lots of beverage selections available. Service was a little slow but was also careful not to disrupt conversations.

Very casual Mexican restaurant in downtown San Mateo. Although there were no signs, I stood in line at the counter and placed my order..shuffled down and paid for order then waited for my order. Wait time was 13 minutes at 11:30 in the morning on a Friday. It appeared that preference was give to large to-go orders. My chicken/avocado Caesar salad had lots of chicken, very little avocado and tons of sliced peppers. Man, it was spicy - so spicy I could not finish it. Price for the salad without tip was $12.
