Bala Cynwyd ( /ˈbælə ˈkɪnwʊd/ BAL-ə-KIN-wuud) is a community in Lower Merion Township which is located on the Main Line in southeastern Pennsylvania, bordering the western edge of Philadelphia at US Route 1 (City Avenue). It was originally two separate towns, Bala and Cynwyd, but is commonly treated as a single community. This came about when a single US Post Office served both towns (the "Bala Cynwyd" Branch) using ZIP code 19004. The community was long known as hyphenated Bala-Cynwyd. Bala and Cynwyd are currently served by separate stations on SEPTA's Cynwyd Line of Regional Rail.

Located in the heart of Suburban Square Ardmore Besitos is a lovely restaurant blending in house seating with Al Fresco dining thru large portals. Our server this evening was informative, friendly with our orders delivered promptly. Now for the important part, the food. The Margarita was the worst I have ever had, really. Any grocery store mix is far superior; a total disappointment. Next was the Guacamole not done tableside, served in a traditional vessel. It was meager and tasteless. All dinners were quite good and enjoyable from the Polo Skillet to traditional Mexican selections. The free chips were fresh and tasty however and salsa was thin and boringly tasteless. Knowing what we now know on another visit we would avoid all the disappointing items. Because of the location, the ambience and our enjoyment of Mexican food we will visit again. The fail on basic Mexican foods have taken the rating from Very Good to Average, actually a bit below average.

We enjoy this place and usually order the Tortilla soup which is hearty and full of delicious chicken. We also enjoy the generous helping of guacamole with excellent salsa and chips. The atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone seems to be having a good time--including the waitstaff.

From the time it opened a few years ago, until present, this has been a model Taco Bell, with consistent service and quality. Being open 24 hours is a great feature on its own, but actually having fast, friendly service, and properly prepared food all night long is even better!! I will also note that on my most recent visit, Sunday, 08/02/2015 at about 1:30 AM (late Saturday night, early Sunday morning,) the hard taco shells my wife and I received in our order were very fresh, exceptionally crispy, and delicious, which is a nice contrast to the stale, almost chewy hard taco shells served at many other locations.I highly recommend giving them a try!!
