My husband and I decided to try Swell Taco for a casual quick lunch. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday afternoon. We managed to get two spots at the bar. The decor is surfer beachy. We felt like we were on a tropical island. We ordered two drinks—rum punch and the berry margarita. They are great. I ordered three tacos-shrimp, crispy chicken and the carnitas. That were all very good. My husband orders the big papa burrito—steak and potatoes.

Tried this restaurant for lunch and it was really good. They offer lunch specials with large portions of food. There are also drink specials. Ingredients were fresh and meal was satisfying. Atmosphere was nice Mexican decor with a bit of a bar feel. Booth dining offered a bit of privacy. Very nice place to go to satisfy cravings!

The food here was excellent. They do table-side guacamole which was some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had. The shrimp tacos were fantastic, 2 of them for $11. As an appetizer. I then ordered the ribs which were delicious, but I was too full when dinner arrived, I took 4 out of 6 of them home, and had them for lunch the next day. I will def be back, and the server was very pleasant too. The white wine sangria was fantastic !Thanks you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. We look forward to see you soon.

Don Ricardo's Restaurant

We have eaten here through the years and felt it was a solid traditional Mexican Restaurant, but this time we were disappointed. The service was very slow and not attentive. Water glasses were never refilled, cutlery was not replaced and the wait staff was nowhere to be found. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and received different glass sizes for each person. Most of us received champagne glasses that held a few sips of margaritas when the ice was in the glass. The fajitas’ peppered and onions were served uncooked. This was very disappointing. The desserts—flan, not very sweet and the fried ice cream was oily. We will be crossing this restaurant off our list permanently.
