This is a small place up on Washington St. I have had several things here and liked them all. One mile north of the 210 on Allen. Not a tourist stop, but a very nice place to eat.
I love authentic mexican food and this place does it for me everytime! I love their fresh fish tacos and chicken tacos! What i dont like is their customer service. Its horrible, i am not sure if its due to the culture and I am african american but everytime I go I speak their language to let them know I come with peace and its not accepted. Food is great but customer service is horrible. I hate that they added the wall cause now I cant see them making my tacos. :-(
Everything is prepared fresh, except maybe the chips. The sauces & condiments are on a self service bar: radishes, carrots, cilantro. Seating is limited, but available; staff is friendly, even if your Spanish is limited!
Love this place, always great food, reasonable prices, and fast, too! Do try their Carne Asada tacos, their breakfast burritos, and their chili rellenos!

We loved the vibe and atmosphere and enjoyed being here. However, our dinner menu selection of enchiladas and burritos was very unremarkable and the prep and presentation was indistinguishable from just about any Mexican restaurant. Certainly âokâ. I guess our expectations were too high based on the reviews of others. In all fairness we need to try some of their specialties next time to compare. Nonetheless, I would expect a highly rated restaurant to ânail itâ with basic Mexican dishes.
I love their huevos rancheros and other mexican breakfast dishes. Hand made tortillas and good chipotle salsa with chips are always brought to the table before your short wait. (my fave is still La Abeja but this is a nice closer option) Great service. I just need to get past the breakfasts ;)

Their schedule is 9 am to 9 pm every day. The food is really good, the prices are too, and the service is friendly and helpful. Expect a wait at busy food times. They serve beer too. We have never been disappointed. If you likeMexican food, you simply will like El Patron.

We are a fun, family-friendly Mexican restaurant where good food and good drinks is our business!
In Flintridge and decided to try this recommended eatery. Ordered off of lunch menu and maybe that was the wrong way to go. I had the combo with a pork tamale and chicken enchilada. Both had very dry fillings and sauce was barely there. Spouse had a couple of beef tacos and again filling was dry. Chips and salsa good. Wait staff super and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Might give the place another go at it.Thank you for your honest feedback, Steve. We're glad to hear your experience with us was good. We're taking into consideration your suggestions and will definitely talk to our kitchen staff about your orders. We're always looking to improve where we've missed the mark. Do not hesitate to ask your server for a new order if you're not enjoying your meal. We hope you give us another chance to impress you with different options in our menu.
