I'm surprised the El Camino hasn't been featured in the Tripadvisor before now. It's been around for a lot of years. Located at the corner of White Sands and 11th, it's downtown. The menu has a good selection of Mexican and some American classics. The steak sandwich is very good as are the Mexican combos. If you've never been or it's been a long time, (re)visit the El Camino for a reasonable priced meal. NO CHECKS or Credit Cards.
I had never been to a Del Taco and to tell you the truth Iâm not a big fan of fast food. This place is clean, the employeeâs are clean, not like Taco Bell were everyone has more food on them than the kitchen and service was good. We ordered tacoâs and a burrito. Food was fresh and tasted that way. Recommend this place for a quick meal.

They only make burritos here. The could make tacos with the same ingrediants. I ordered a burritoo and the beans were so bland and something in the burrito made me wand to gag. I didn't finish the rest. My wifes was much better than mine. I thought it was a overpriced as well. Not to mention like I said the credit card machine was down and they didn't let me know till I was paying. Not a good experiance for me.

Our choice for a late, quiet Saturday morning breakfast turned out to be lovely. Service was attentive and friendly, always a plus. Our food was hot and fresh and very tasty. Great flavor. I asked for the Mexican omelet without the cubed ham and it was wonderful. Husband was just as happy with his choice, I did taste his red sauce and it was the best Iâve tasted in a long time.

I grew up in a small town littered with âmom & popâ eateries like this one. Even here, much remains the same. You sit wherever you like and enjoy the coffee. On my visit, the service was quick and very friendlyâwhich is fitting for a family-style restaurant. Alamo Grill sits on the highway and serves all manners of transient folk. Itâs a nice break from the summer heat with its nice air conditioning. I ate a satisfying plate of country fried steak and eggs in peace and quiet, and I would gladly return with company. Places like Alamo Grill are like home for me.

Had an excellent lunch recently at La Hacienda. It was late morning on a weekend and the place was nearly empty. Our server was prompt and efficient. The place is spacious if austere, the service was good and the noise level was low. The menu, all New Mexican items, is quite large for a small place like this. Complementary chips and salsa come out first, as in most New Mexican restaurants. Their chips are only fair and their salsa is more like a watery version of pico de gallo with very little heat, than it is a salsa. Not bad, but not what I would call good salsa. I had the carne asada plate (#17), which is a thin-sliced beef steak fried crispy, topped with fried onions and served with refried beans, Spanish rice, guacamole, pico de gallo and a tortilla, your choice flour or corn. I liked this dish very much. My wife had the brisket taco plate (#7), which was three soft corn beef brisket tacos, served with refried beans and Spanish rice. She really liked this dish as well. This was our first time trying this place but based on this one visit, Iâd say La Hacienda is as good or better than any other similar restaurant in town. The building sits directly on White Sands Blvd at 8th Street; parking is along the sides. I will definitely try this place again when next in Alamogordo

Authentic Mexican Restaurant
The food and service were both good at Rizo's. I completely enjoyed the chili verde, among the best I've had, with a good amount of heat and flavor. The salsas that came with the chips were basic, one hot, one mild. Service was friendly. Prices reasonable. I was surprised that they close at 6:00 on Sundays, so was glad I opted for an early dinner.

The reviews sounded great. We arrived at 5:40pm. It was already busy. Waited 40 minutes for a table for 4. Food took a while and arrived cold and stale. It must have sat somewhere for a long time before it was brought to our table. Chips were not great either and they charge for extra baskets even though we waited a while for our food. Our waitress was super busy but pleasant when she came by our table. Maybe an off night but I wonât spend that much money again to test the theory. Four different dishes and none were fresh or good. I appreciate your review and I would like to know what day you were in and if you expressed your concerns to your server or our manager?
