Things to do in Aberdeen
My wife and I stopped in here during a weeklong bike tour. Located across from where we camped, and seeing good reviews on other sites, we walked over and sat down. All of the staff were friendly and glad to see us and we ordered, the fajitas nachos for me, a Carnitas Torta for my wife. When the food came we were staggered by the large serving size, indeed we easily split just one of the items and done away full. And the quality was not lacking, the meat tender, plenty of it with all of condiments in just the right proportions. If we lived nearby we'd be regulars

We love to try new Mexican restaurants out because of our love for the food. Coming here was a mistake. First off, service was horrible, no greeting, no check on services, had to flag down for refills etc. Receipts are not itemized so you better be sure to pay attention to prices on menu. We never received rice or beans for two items. The salsa is the worst Iâve ever had in a restaurant. The restaurant was very dirty and you could see grease smears on the kitchen windows. Lastly, the food is a whole category below bad. Taco shells were stale, food was barely edible. Do not waste your money here until they show they care about improving.

Mexican/American grill located just south of Aberdeen on Hwy. 501. We serve authentic Mexican Food, as well as some American favorites.
We stopped by Armando's on our way back from Hilton Head to Chapel Hill on 15/501. We were looking for a spot for lunch and when we came to the 4-way stop where Armando's is located, we noticed that the parking lot was pretty well packed and it was 1:30 in the afternoon. So, we had to try it.You order from a window on the left hand side of the building. They have many Mexican and American options a great prices. Once you order, you move to the dining room area and they deliver your food to your tables. The portions were large and all the food was delicious. I wish Armando's was closer to home.I had 2 Tacos with Chicken, Rice & Beans and my wife had the Burrito which was huge. If you are in the Southern Pines/Aberdeen area, it is worth a drive to eat at Armando's.

We got take out from here and the service was very fast. I think we only waited approximately 10minutes from the time we ordered. The food was very fresh and the packaged everything very carefully do that nothing spilled. The best part is that the prices were very reasonable and the food that we ordered was delicious. I would definitely return here in the future!

Three of us for dinner on a Saturday night. Two of us ordered grilled fajitas which were delicious. Other had burrito. Guacamole, salsa, and chips were tasty. Friendly staff; owner visited tables to ensure diners happy. Noted staff person in charge of clearing tables; she was very thorough in cleaning everything, even salt and pepper shakers. Pet peeve is using yucky shakers, so she was impressive.

Food ok....basic......fairly clean.......interesting that the receipt was higher than expected and there was no breakdown of costs to look at accuracy, etc. Many other restaurants around (Panera, Sonic, RubyT, etc) so not much reason to go there.

First, it's only fair to say I've worked in Mexico for years and have lived my whole life in California, so our standards for Mexican food are pretty high. We went there for lunch today because they get very high ratings. We both got burritos of different styles with some rice and beans on the side and we both thought they were just OK and a bit on the bland side. The salsa they serve is really bad and watery but if you ask, they will bring out the salsa verde which is better - you really need to put something on the burritos to zip them up. If you like margaritas, DO NOT order the blended "frozen" style because it comes out of one of those machines and is horrible so make them blend one on the rocks for you. Looking at the menu, there are pictures of all the food and the mariscos seem to look more authentic and may be worth trying so we'll see.
