Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Zandvoort. Zandvort is to Amsterdam what Brighton is to London--a large seaside resort easily reached by train. It takes half an hour to get there from Central Station. It has a long sandy beach and, in common with the rest of the Netherlands coastline, an expanse of sandy dunes which serve to protect the low lying country from the sea. In the summer months, beach bars catering to all tastes line this beach. It is also the site of the Netherlands' most important car racing circuit.

normally word on this restaurant is pretty good, and our first visit was quite positive, although there was only a very limited choice of the menu available, what we got was really good. For the second visit i invited my parents to go there, as it was my mom's birthday. So what went wrong? well, the waitress forgot to bring half of our orders, my calzone was ice-cold inside, the other dishes were just mediocre. Went we tried to call the waitress she disappeared for half an hour. In the end the manager came to apologize, but it was to late. My mom's birthday was ruined.

Nice and quiet place on the beach. You can just sit down and relax, eat something or drink and read book.

After returning from the afternoon in Amsterdam we were looking for a nice restaurant an easy walking distance from our hotel and in the area just off the beach. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and great patio, but due to the time of year it was a bit too cool so we opted to eat inside. The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The two of us shared spaghetti and a pizza along with some local beer.

We LOVED our visit with Martha and her daughter! Itâs our first day in Zandvoort and we were running late for our evening dinner plans and Martha was so welcoming. She made me and fiancé each a plate of really delicious gyros and made us feel like family. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. We so appreciate having run into Martha; someone so warm, with such generosity and happiness to share. She truly lights up the room and makes you feel at home. We canât wait to go back!!!! Zandvoort is lucky to have Martha and her family.
