Things to do in Zagora
It took us a while to find Restaurante Des Amis as we didn't know which end of the long Avenida Principal it was located. It's at the south end of Zagora in the direction of Mhamid. We decided to sit outside on the pavement to do some serious people watching which was very interesting. The friendly waiter gave us the short, laminated menu of the usual Moroccan fare - couscous, tangines and brochettes. Nothing special. We chose vegetable soup (rather strange taste and very oily - the harissa soup was unavailable), moroccan salad (excellent), vegetable couscous and kefta tagine. Sharing the couscous and tagine was quite tasty although the waiter seemed bemused by this.Apparently, there is a decided lack of good eating places in Zagora so we weren't expecting much and didn't get much.
I've spent about a month in Zagora, and this was my favorite place in the city where I get to see my friends. We always go inside and enjoy the stay under the tent, surrounded by a beautiful art statues, paintings. The food was great, homemade Moroccan dishes available under request. Ask for Mohamed-the manager- for more information and places u can visit and things u can do in Zagora and the desert . I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place where to relax and get information about the city.

The restaurant is part of a large Riad and will entrance you the moment you catch sight. Draped fabric on the ceiling of this large tented restaurant and lovely decor will delight you.The food was quite good. I had a Beef Tajine which was quite good. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a stop!

The service is lovely, the staff remember my name, and are so hospitable, that I genuinely feel at home. When I arrive after long months of travel, the staff greet me with kindness. The food is reliably very good, and the menu is flexible, as sometimes I wish to eat only cheese and bread. The espresso is delicious, and the tea is as well. Said, who I believe is the manager, speaks easy English with me, is very informative. The very first time I visited Ennahda I needed to change Dollars to Dirham, but it was Sunday, and the banks were closed. Said helped me, and I will never forget his kindness. Especially since I love spending afternoons people watching and long conversations at Restaurant Ennahda.
Abdeslam, who has worked in restaurants in Switzerland, prepares traditional Moroccan dishes adding his own influences as well. All his meals are made from scratch using fresh local ingredients. Abdeslam also invites travellers to step into the kitchen to
I've been to this Riad during several trips to Morocco and can vouch for the excellent cuisine. The owner prepares Moroccan food with a twist, adding some variety to the standard fare in most restaurants. All his dishes are homemade using fresh ingredients and he can cater to dietary requirements. He lets guests step into the kitchen to see how he prepares the food as well. Copious servings so don't snack beforehand! Hope to return soon.

Nice place but overpriced for our lunch, menu with all dishes at the same price, suppose it is a simple way to welcome tourists looking for food. When i asked for explanation about the single price menu, the waiter said it is like this. Finally, they brought me a reduced bill...
Riad dar Sofian invites you to discover traditional Moroccan dishes and more particularly those from the south. The cuisine of our table d' hôtes consists of fresh local farm produce : the menu may vary according to the seasons. Don't forget our many spec
