Very small restaurant with a lovely friendly informal atmosphere and fantastic food. I had a great starter of mackerel which was cooked to perfection and my wife had figs which looked great. We both had a main of gnocchi with prawns and clams which was really tasty with just the right amount of chilli. I think this is probably the highest quality food I have had in Leighton Buzzard and will definitely be returning to sample some more of the menu.

Stopped off for lunch at this Italian pub / restaurant with our little granddaughter . The starters of garlic prawns were good and the breads delicious. My Ragu was tasty and I appreciated that you can have a half portion. My husbands venison was tough but tasty . The childrenâs menu is a little expensive but the quality of the food is good . The house wine was great . The only complaint we had was that the staff hung around our table too much - making us feel a little uncomfortable. Worth a visit as the food is good . This little Italian restaurant delights me ever visit ... be a quick lunch... a lazy supper or a take away. Great Pizzas... simple Italian pastas and always great service .... whilst I may enjoy the chains ... there is something lovely about eating here... Iâve seen House of Chicken highly rated on TripAdvisor before so gave it a go today for lunch. Like other reviews on here, donât judge a book by itâs cover. Even at lunchtime there was a good atmosphere with a buzz in the air. Service was very, very friendly helping me choose as it was my first time. Food didnât come immediately which is good as it shows they were cooking it rather than trying to microwave a frozen dish. This is why I avoid the food chains now. I had the sandwich, and trust me, itâs great, you will never have eaten a sandwich like this before. Try House of Chicken, Iâm sure you wonât be disappointed. Straight forward grilled meat, lovely friendly service and good value. Iâll eat there again.

We were in Buckingham for the weekend and had read good reviews about Black pepper so decided to give it a try. Booked in advance as didn't want to risk not getting in on a Saturday night. Typically for a Turkish restaurant they have a large and varied menu so it's easy to find something that looks good. Food was tasty and plentiful, house wine decent enough and staff there were attentive and friendly. Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

We had a very nice lunch and the best coffee in Winslow here. Everything was freshly made and nicely presented, the prices were extremely reasonable and service was pleasant. As we paid we were offered some delicious pistachio Turkish delight. Will definitely return.
