We booked for 6 people for a 50th birthday a month in advance. Paid our £60 deposit. Was excited for our night there as I had been before and loved it. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and even the owner came out to fix the heater for us as we went in Feb and was in the marquee. So with that I booked this for a friends 50th birthday surprise.. we got there and was seated on a small table that was set out for four... we have to squeeze six people around the table.. we asked the waitress why it was small as they was expecting us.. she said no this can get 6 people around it.. we asked to speak to the manager, whilst waiting the table next to us said that there is no way that is a table for 6 as they wouldn't be able to get off or out of their table if they squeezed another person on. The manager came, raised his voiced and said no. This is a table for six, it didn't matter that it was set out for four and if the table next to us wanted to get up we would have to get one of our party to keep getting up and let them out. everyone was looking over. He was rude and caused a scene that didn't need to be caused. All we wanted was to be moved.. but I guess they had our £60 deposit already, what does he care, right? That's what it felt like. Eventually we got moved after the raised voices and the massive scene he caused. It's such a shame as the owner and staff are so lovely but its put us off of coming again and the guests that we had with us that had never been before said they wouldn't be returning. He put a real dampener on what could have been a lovely evening.

The unassuming exterior hides a real foodie heaven for lovers of Southern European food and wine. The nearby free car park just off the A13 helps. We sampled Swordfish steaks cooked simply with green beans and potatoes or saute, Seafood linguine with almost as much seafood as pasta, washed down with a very nice Spanish rose. The portions were so big we had no room for dessert, a great pity. All watched over by the nicest Senora and served nicely by her girls. We want to come again - soon.

Since starting work in the area we have been coming here for breakfast quite regularly and this place never disappoints. The service is so quick that you are sometimes just sitting down after ordering and your food arrives! There is a real cross section of people in here from builders to couples, families, older residents, emergency services which just shows you that the place must be good as it is always so busy.

We visited this restaurant that has recently opened in Rayleigh High Street. They were buzzing and virtually fully booked but managed to get us a table on the day.Lunch time was also busy. Nice menu with 2 courses for £13.95 and 3 courses for about £18.95.I opted for the garlic bread with caramelised onion, delicious and the size of a small pizza ! My partner chose from the Main menu and had prawns that he said were lovely.He chose the fillet steak that was cooked to perfection. My chicken salad with pesto dressing was also very good.The staff were friendly. We did wait a while to get a first drink but they were very busy. It is quite noisy but a good atmosphere. There are tables upstairs also but I didnât get to see them. I would recommend this restaurant and wish them good luck.

Birthday dinner with friends. 6 of us, all enjoyed different dishes! Service very good, and made a fuss of when itâs your birthday, lots of singing by the staff! The strawberry daiquiri is delicious! Love their pan fried prawns too! Hubby loves their kleftico dish! Definitely best restaurant in Rayleigh.

We went to Vita Bella for a birthday celebration and had a lovely evening. The food is great and the service is great too. We all decided to eat off the Sunday lunch menu and had 3 courses. I had the pork belly which was nice and not too fatty, the portion was really big though and I couldn't eat all of it. To top it off the Bailey's cheesecake and brownie were both delicious. Wine isn't too expensive either and there are a lot of wines to chose from as well as some Prosecco based cocktails including Aperol Spritz which is my favourite. The people that work here are really nice and the service was generally great, although our empty wine glasses were not always being refilled. I have noticed that this restaurant is currently the best in Essex on tripadvisor, although I would disagree with this because I felt that I have eaten nicer meals at other restaurants in Chelmsford and Essex, but that is just my personal opinion. A nice added extra was the cake they bought out for my mum as it was her birthday and as well as this they offered us a drink on the house at the end of our meal which was appreciated!Dear KevinVickyHolly, Thank you for your visit. I would like to think that we went there on a bad day for them.Allow I doubt it.Beer was bad.Iâm no chef but I could easily beat the food.Not at all authentic.We left most of it.BAD..... thatâs a great michael jackson song but not a reflection on a Marcos visit surely. Looking at your reviews you slate everyone and everything so no point wasting time writing a response but remember 1 persons opinion isnât going to ruin our reputation especially as your a man of few words.

We have been to Aspera before and will definitely be returning again. 6 of us visited Aspera for my husbands birthday. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted and taken straight to our table. The food is excellent and good size portions. The staff are attentive, polite and comical at times (in a good way), making you feel like you are not just another number. What a lovely restaurant this is the staff are happy and friendly and the food is delish. They also serve cocktails and have a great selection of Gin. Been here on a few occassions. Friday nights they have live music which is really good. A real buzzing restaurant and can highly recommend.
