A family run licenced cafe, offering vibrant, fresh tasty food, inspired by Mediaterranean and Middle Eastern flavours.
Looks like nothing much from outside, and is pretty basic inside - you expect stewed tea and a calorie busting fry-up. Instead, cheerful friendly vibe and the most delicious Mediterranean maze dishes. The hummus and flatbread was the best I have had (and remembered fondly a month later), delicious sardines and kebabs, and a good well priced selection of wine and beer. And lovely views too. The owner/chef had lived in the Middle East and was passionate about the food culture he had brought back with him. Went with older children so something for everyone.

We have been here many times for the buffet lunch and it never disappoints. The variety is wonderful and everything tastes as good as it looks and smells. The vegetable dishes are fresh and delicious and the lamb is succulent and cooked to perfection. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is of people enjoying themselves. Very highly recommended.

Welcome to Mucini Italian Kitchen. Set in the attractive Whitstable suburb of Tankerton, on the north east coast of Kent, Mucini is a small family-run restaurant which offers a fresh approach to traditional Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. We invite you
We have just returned from an evening at Mucini. We were really looking forward to this meal, having read the many good reviews. Sorry to say the food was lovely but the service was atrocious. We were seated next to the toilet ( personally I would not put a table there) We sat down at 8 and a lovely waitress took out order about 10 minutes later. No problem there. Unfortunately she then left for the evening. It took almost an hour for our starters to arrive and once those plates were taken a further hour at least for our main meal. We were not offered a dessert so we decided to leave. We requested the bill twice in 30 minutes and the waiters reply was I believe itâs being made up. We only had 3 drinks and 4 dishes!!! In the end I went to the till to request to pay. The bill was not made up but the waitress found it! So in short. The food was nice, but we will not be returning. Certainly didnât feel any respect for our custom.

We've been to Ali and Mo's Moroccan restaurant a few times, now, and it's never disappointing, neither in terms of the food or the place or the price. The place itself looks fantastic and atmospheric, with patterned rugs and coverings everywhere, low lamps and carved wooden details. The staff are really welcoming, and even when it's busy, owners Ali and Mo are always happy to give you a welcoming word. The waiting staff are polite, efficient and very knowledgeable about the food. It's Moroccan cuisine, of course, so there is a selection of starters, and tagines, and other meat, fish and vegetable dishes. The flavours are amazing, not over-spicy, and not hiding the fresh taste of the food. There is a good range of wines and beers and soft drinks. The desserts are more like standard Mediterranean sweet dishes, with a touch of French and Italian-type specialities like Tarte Citron.I'm not even going to go into details about the prices of the meals - very reasonable, and you wonder how Alimo can produce amazing food like this for such a low price. If it's not obvious, I really recommend it.As it's slightly off the beaten path - up the other end of town from the harbour and seafront, there's usually a good chance of getting a table without booking. The location under a railway arch is neither noisy nor draughty, and add to its uniqueness.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We were greeted by a staff member who made the experience all the more enjoyable and really looked after us when we visited. The food is so delicious and you get an absolute feast for a very reasonable price. A well deserved 5* for a fabulous seaside restaurant! Thank you Jojoâs!

Visited last August with friends and had a wonderful meal. Was delighted to have an equally wonderful meal second time around. Every dish we had was exceptional. Really appreciated trying a few of the wines before buying too. Dish of the day was the ribs for me. Sweet, sticky and melted in your mouth. In my opinion, this it the best Tapas I have had in the UK. we shall be back!
