Weinheim (help·info) is a town in the north west of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany with 43,000 inhabitants, approximately 15 km (9 mi) north of Heidelberg and 10 km (6 mi) northeast of Mannheim. Together with these cities, it makes up the Rhine-Neckar triangle. It has the nickname "Zwei-Burgen-Stadt", or Two-Castle city ('Burg' means 'fortress'), named after the two fortresses on the hill overlooking the town in the east on the edge of the Odenwald, the Windeck and the Wachenburg. The city of Weinheim with said Wachenburg castle, built by German Student Corps fraternities in the early 1900s, is the location of the annual convention of the Weinheimer Senioren-Convent.

We live in Weinheim and visit the Stadtschaenke regularly. The Pizza is freshly baked in a wood-fired oven and definitely the best you can get in Weinheim. I haven't tried any of the other pricey italian things on the menu yet, I have to admit.The service is friendly and helpful and they are kids-frindly, too. When we went there last time, we were cheered and helped with our pram, no problem at all. Service is typically fast and professional.Yes, the atmosphere is a bit tired - the interior hasn't changed a bit since I know the restaurant and as I grew up in Weinheim that's been for quite some time now ;-) If you don't like the interior, you can sit outside in the summer.Other options / recommendations for Italian food beyond Pizza in Weinheim are Mario & Maria in the Birkenauertalstrasse (up-scale chic Italian cuisine) or La Locanda in the "Alte Post" right opposite the Stadthalle (typical Tuscan cuisine - one of our favorites).

Everything here it top-notch........the building itself, the service, and especially the food. We were a party of four and all had a different entree. Each one was superlative and the owner was so welcoming and friendly. A reservation is a must but this restaurant is worth your time.

Weinheim is quaint & nice, the restaurant is average - the frenchified menu is more germanic in presentation. Ordered the vaunted duckbreast which was OK when warm but tough when lukewarm; obviously the chef wasn't in the kitchen that evening.the town square was interesting, the restaurant so so...

Wir kamen Samstag Abend hierher und hatten einen Salat vorweg und anschlieÃend Pizza bzw. Tagliatelle mit Trüffeln bestellt.Alle Speisen waren sehr lecker, vor allem die Pizza war für mich die beste, die ich in der Region bisher gegessen habe: Der Teig knusprig, geschmacklich top, nicht zu dünn und gut belegt.Die Tagliatelle wurden am Tisch showmäÃig in Szene gesetzt und im Grana Pandano geschwenkt.Der Service war sehr herzlich, sympathisch und sehr am Wohle des Gastes orientiert. Toller Geheimtipp!

Very good, gourmet restaurant. Quite a tiny menu but changes frequently. Service was fast & friendly. Food served was superb and prices are mid-range. Really love this place. Only "negative" point is that there is no free WiFi for guests - there is a WiFi signal available but as the waiter pointed out "it is only for the boss" .... everything else is just flawless. Just go there for the food :-)The Wifi ist free cause in other Restaurants in Weinheim some people downloaded illegal things and the owner had to pay for it. Anyways thank u for the evaluation.

I was here with my friends from Germany and Ukraine .Food was very tasty . Service very good. When we made order and received wrong side dish and told it to waiter , he immediately without any disccussion changed foods .I ordere duck and it was very tasty .I advice this restaurant to my friends
