O Pescador Restaurant is located in the historical center of Viana do Castelo ... Visit the city and delight in here ... Be amazed by the delicious monkfish rice, succulent seafood feijoada and various grilled fish. Awaken your senses with cod dishes. At
This mainly fish restaurant was recommended by our hotel and one of our guide books, and we enjoyed both meals here. Friendly waiting staff - on our first night they only had one bottle of the white wine we wanted but got more in time for our second visit. Good choice of fish dishes, done in various sized portions to suit different appetites. The desserts looked brought in so we didnât bother.

The service was efficient and friendly, the portions enormous and the food delicious. The waitress showed us the fish before it was cooked and it looked very fresh. We went early, and as we left il became crowded and very loud. But I must say it was a very happy, friendly way of being loud and we appreciated the atmosphere.

We went to this restaurant on the last day of our family vacation in Northern Portugal and absolutely loved the place. We had a table outside which was lovely. Food was great, portions large and everything including the wine very reasonably priced compared to what we are used to in the North of Europe. My son absolutely loved the Brazilian steak which was huge and came with a lot of side dishes. Can also recommend the camel drool dessert.

We stumbled across this intimate restaurant nestled in an alley, after we passed on the riverfront options as they appeared too touristy (we are tourists). This joint was filled with locals, with a no nonsense atmosphere. It was amazing. Roasted chicken, rice, French fries, soup, salad, wine, espresso, cake. Ridiculously inexpensive, but more than that was watching the whole operation. Seriously donât miss this place!

This restaurant has a great variety of appetizers and is ideal for groups in which each person orders a portion and all taste everything. I highly recommend the chipirones (fried cuttlefish). Also serves standard dishes. The atmosphere is quite informal

Restaurant can be recommended but I had to go back next day re a bill overcharge. I was kept waiting whilst the proprietress attempted electronic reversals. She eventually accepted my original suggestion of cash but if only she'd offered me a bun or a drink whilst I was waiting, or even a bottle to take away I wouldn't feel so annoyed! ie 1 point off for stupidity!Dear client we totally agree with you if our mistake were on purpose. As soon as you present your bill, we immediately confirm the mistake and refund you.Best regards,O Laranjeira team

Lovely spot near the water on the plaza. Eat inside or outside. We especially liked the Tasquinha with hamburger and homemade chips (these are potato chips not fries). The bread and sauce are yummy. Also, the chicken lasagna was delicious. They have multiple food and beverage options, something for everyone in your party.

In an old warehouse of the tidal dock of Viana do Castelo, they send fresh fish and seafood. More than a restaurant, Tasquinha da Linda is a place of petisqueira vocation.
This place is, by Portuguese standards, expensive. The decor is nice and refined, service is excellent âalthough they let you serve your own wine, which you shouldnât have to do. The fish soup was admirable, one of the absolute best Iâve ever had âand Iâve had quite a few. The main course, a typical âcataplanoâ dish (fish and seafood slowly stewed), was less convincing as the fish came out overcooked. The ice cream at the end was OK but nothing to write home about, and they gave me hazelnut instead of chocolate! The wine list is long and plentiful, and the red Douro wine we picked was excellent.
