he restaurant is a small place known by locals. Homemade tapas with quality products. A large selection of wines from the region and the whole of France, but also spirits, beer and cocktail
We reserved late but were lucky to get two seats at the bar counter. Got there nice and early to have a few glasses of wine before dinner and that was a great idea. The wine selection (available in big or small portions by the glass) is varied enough for everybody to find a match. We didnât have a cocktail but the ones that came out from the bar looked good. Food is excellent. Had the mix of tapas to share then burgers. The burger is as french as I imagine a burger could be. Brioche bun, coarse ground excellent quality meat and a nice ripe cheese on top. Thank you for your comment :-)we are glad that you had a good time and that you enjoyed the homemade with only fresh products.See you soon,The whole El Primo team

My wife and I walked by this beautiful little restaurant at lunchtime, reviewed the dinner menu and made a reservation. It was a great choice! The restaurant is located in the common area at the intersection of three quiet streets. We ordered scallops and lamb and both were great. We combined it with a reasonably priced bottle of Sauvignon. We finished the meal with an assortment of bite sized sweets-fantastic! Service was attentive but not intrusive. Definitely will go back!

Do not start a one-man-operation if you can't handle it, like in this place. The owner is the only one hazzling around serving the food.We had to wait for the entrees almost 50 minutes. Maybe they were so time-taking to make? Gazpacho and Marseille Sardines straight served from the actual tin can, some bread and vege on the side. Kind of food that is ready made during the prep. The mains we received almost in ok time. The bill: he brought the bill and I waived the plastic, then had to wait more than 10 minutes, after that put on the cash and left.In this place there was no sign of the french precision in the restaurant where you basically never wait anything, more you control the time by eating slowly, otherwise you are out of the dinner in less than 30 minutes.Food was ok, nothing that special. Strange things too was that on the walls you have the menus, we had almost ten minutes time to translate them to english, then we were given plastic menu cards and told that the menus on the wall got old months ago.. On the Blackboard!! Can't they just wipe them out or refresh? Also, one thing to mention: If you have an air conditioning, make it work. Now it was just for "fun".To me, I got the feeling, that customer is not in the focus here, but the owners ambitions.

This small restaurant serves good starters like sardins in oil and mussels. The main dish I tasted was a very good beef tartare with pesto combined to a fantastic salad.Thank's a lot ! A bientôt.

I had a fantastic lunch at tita and the staff were very friendly. One staff member spoke excellent english and made everything very easy for me. I had a falafel and kofta plate with salsa, hummus and a lovely chilli paste. It was also served with sliced cabbage, a pita, roasted courgettes and a lovely roasted sweet potato.

This restaurant and hotel was recommended to us by a local friend and we are eternally grateful! From the moment we arrived to the incredible grounds of this property, we were blown away. Not only are the surroundings jaw-droppingly gorgeous, but the service is extraordinarily gracious, warm and friendly. Although we had a reservation, the host allowed us to take our time and enjoy cocktails on the terrace for however long we wanted - it truly felt to be their pleasure to allow us to indulge. Once inside, the restaurant was incredible, the decor gorgeous and very comfortable and the perfect service continued! From the servers to the extraordinary sommelier, who had such a delightful passion for the wines - we enjoyed every single second! And as good as this allsounds, the food was truly an even greater highlight! My husband and I agree- we think this is the best food and experience weâve ever had, and a visit to the kitchen to meet the awesome and engaging chef, gave us an opportunity to share that in-person. This restaurant and property overall will be the absolute highlight of your trip, and Iâd sincerely give it 10/5 stars if it were possible! Dear Madam, Dear SirThanks a lot for your kind words and taking the time to write a review. We thrive to create a personal and intimate experience for each guest. Arriving at La Bastide de Venelles is like a breath of fresh air. Nestled in the beautiful French countryside and just a stones throw from Aix it is a perfect place to hang your hat. There is everything one needs for a pleasant visit to France. The restaurant is top quality with lots of local dishes (there's always a steak if it's "too" local) and a very nice wine list. The rooms are very cozy and well equipped. Everything is newly renovated. The outdoor area is beautiful and the pool area is stunning. We only had one night. I would love to get back for at least a few days. I could imagine this being a perfect place to go with a large family or a couple of families. Lovely

We loved this place. A fantastic alternative to Aix, quite with a fantastic view over Mt St Victoire. Food was tasty and very well cooked. Staff were friendly, patient with my dodgy Franglais. The experience was relaxed and informal, the staff appear to really enjoy being there and it's a hands on operation. Thoroughly recommended and reasonably priced at about 60 Euros for two, including wine.

This is a wonderful friendly restaurant, very popular. The staff were extremely accommodating and found us a table despite the fact that our landlady had forgotten to book. Great atmosphere, very popular with locals, great for big groups or just two as in our case. Reasonably priced at around 60 Euros for two, including drinks.

Excellent set meal for a group of 40 of us, in a beautiful setting in the hills outside Aix-en-Provence.An amuse-bouche, followed by smoked and marinated salmon with zucchini mousse, then guinea fowl with a mushroom sauce, dauphinoise potatoes and vegetables, then warm goats cheese and finally raspberry and vanilla macaron on a red fruit coulis. Lovely food, well presented.....but one of us is gluten-free, and the restaurant had been advised several days in advance. Gluten-free did not mean food items were substituted, they were simply omitted - no bread, no alternative to the dauphinoise potatoes. The service was very patchy at times; even though the gluten-free one of us did not have any dauphinoise potatoes, halfway through eating the main course, the waitress rushed up to take the meal away saying that it shouldn't have been served. After a discussion with another waitress, the meal was returned and pronounced ok. Heaven help anyone with a severe nut allergy. With attention to detail, the Mas d'Entremont could be excellent.
