Rivas - there is not much to do here, other than the H20 mall, a few grocery stores, a few sidewalk cafés/tapas bars, etc, and so it's not surprising that, when compared to the bustling scene of the city, the food/restaurant options here have been quite underwhelming thus far.Well, MAROMA may just have changed all that and it will hopefully be the catalyst of many new things to come in this cute little suburb.First off, I love seafood. I love fish. I love all food that is comprised of seafood and fish. I love the fragrant smell of the ocean, of the sea, not just in the air around me but also in the food itself. So, without mincing words here, MAROMA is a seafood lover's paradise. It's pretty much all they do but oh my, they do it really well. And the bread, my god the bread alone is worth a trip, it's just fantastic. Without giving too many details, suffice it to say that they serve some the best Sepia I've ever had in my life (and I've had some really good Sepia dishes in the city) and also the most amazing mussels. These things were huge, so meaty and flavorful, and again, their simple no-fuss preparation retained all that ocean vibe in the broth.Let's put it this way, if I could afford to eat at Maroma every night, I probably would, as I'd like to try everything on the menu, which is really simple, all one one small sheet. The ambiance is terrific, they got the lighting just right inside (none of this ice-white 'police station' lighting many restaurants have), the place is bustling with people but the servers still get to you when you need them, all in all I feel MAROMA just got it right.Simple place, simple menu, great atmosphere/terrace, great food, great people.Yes, it's in Rivas, but don't let that put you off. A quick 25 min drive from the city and plenty of street parking. Do call in advance to book a table as it gets busy quick, and you'll see why once you're done.

La Coqueta is a small restaurant with nice waiters and waitresses that make you feel always at home. The food is just astonishing. A really good place to share dishes and try as much tapas and raciones as possible! All is good, but papas arrugás con mojo (boiled potatoes with mojo) are the best!salmon tartar, brochettes and tempura eggplant with sugarcane honey are number one choices. I place where I go and take friends always I can!

We went to the restaurant to have some meat for dinner. It was one of the appointed places in a small map given on our hotel. For dinners the restaurant opens at 21:00. A normal hour in Spain, not so normal in Northern Europe. We waited until 21:00 taking a glass of Rioja. Good wine and a very attentive waiter. At 21:00 we went to the restaurant room and asked for a steak, rare, some fried potatoes and some âpimientosâ. The meat was really, really good. Perfectly done and very tasty. An excellent choice from our side.Again the waitress was perfect to the hilt. Given suggestions, supporting the flow of the meal and disappearing when not needed. Really exceptional service.A place to return when in Madrid

Personally the best place to have tapas in Rivas Vaciamadrid. A good atmosphere, lovely wines, amazing tapas,... and the best the price. The only problem is that is always full and you have to wait to get a table. For me this is the prove of its success, isn't it?

As an Irish man we love our meat dishes... Was with my partner and her sister and her partner.. Who is Argentinian.. He said he will order the lamb for both of us. We had a dish of jammon with some small tapas as a starter with a quality wine.. And then the biggest dish of meat I ever saw was presented... Wow oh wow.... Best few hours of my life eating a meal perfectly prepared.. We had anthor bottle of wine. Saying this the ladies had a ceaser salad each and left us too our devices... 10/10 for me.... Thank you El secerto...
