Small and pleasant restaurant in the centre of Trento, its history began in the 1275. Today is managed by the same family from the 1947. We offer traditional food review in a modern and light key, making use of traditional and seasonal ingredients. Our st
Presentation and flavors were spot on. Particularly liked 10-hour slow cooked pork belly.Wine list was extensive with many options by the glass and a good selection of local specialities. The waiter had a good local knowledge also and happily looked up English translations for us. Pretty setting in basement. Well priced for the quality. Definitely worth a visit.

Currently living right next to Korallo makes this a convenient choice for dinner, so we popped in on Valentines Day. The place was packed! They found us a great bar table, we had the best Neapolitan pizza outside of Naples, and by the end of the evening our seemingly middle-of-nowhere apartment location now seems like prime real estate in Trento. Can we stop ourselves from going more than once per week?

This is a central restaurant, but you can easily miss it if you are not looking for it. We were lucky to get a table, but really enjoyed having had the luck to eat here. The interior offers space, and even though the restaurant was full, it did not feel crowded. Service is friendly, efficient, and relaxed. All dishes we had were excellent and very nicely presented, and the local wine which was recommended was also very good. Estimate 35-45⬠per person, but you will not regret it!

Al Gusto is a nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of Trento's city center. It's only about a kilometer's walk from Piazza Fiera, located near one of the tributaries to the Adige River -- a lovely area frequented by many of the locals. Al Gusto is a small home-style restaurant where you can see the activities of the chef as you're waiting for your food. The atmosphere is simple but cozy -- a very good if you desire a private date. The prices are comparable to other sit-down restaurants in Trento. The food itself is simple, yet flavorful and the portions are reasonable. My wife ordered their house dish, which was braised chicken with a slightly smokey flavor. I ordered the "Mix di Pesce" (lightly fried calamari). I was surprised to see how many calamari they served. The calamari were lightly breaded and seasoned, which allowed the natural flavors to run their course.I've seen more fanciful food presentations, but again, the simplicity of the restaurant is much appreciated. If you want to see the quieter side of Trento yet stay within walking distance of the center, Al Gusto is an excellent choice.

Straight but interesting dishes form the heart of the Italian tradition in this lovely osteria. Such as the 'casonzei', traditional from Ampezzo, pasta filled with a beetroot puree', dressed with clarified butter, breadcrumbs, poppy seeds: great. Also excellent was the other primo of aubergine ravioli, the dominant flavour that of a smoked ricotta. The mains were simple and good: venison 'scottadito', with tasty roasted potatoes, and a beef goulash, perfectly tenderised and served with canederli. Very tender also the cabbage on the side. The desserts were classics: 'zuppa inglese' and tiramisu, very well made. This a family run restaurant, in a village at 500 meters altitude at less than 15 minutes drive from Trento (or a short cable-car trip). At the the helm in the kitchen the young female chef, who with her simplicity and her delicate and balanced hand will treat you to proper traditional Italian cuisine. The room is basic but warm. Service is friendly and generous, Prices are very reasonable, portions are also generous.

We happened to stay at a hotel in Mattarello outside Trento. We arrived late after a long drive, tired and hungry. We didnt have any expectations of this place and it seemed to be perhaps the only place open. With locals eating, drinking and smoking away, this place was full of atmosphere. The pizzas did not disappoint either. This was one of those places that you "discover".

Youâll be lucky to get into this small, intimate restaurant so make a reservation. There are only about 7 tables and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. This was part of a once private house for nobles who used this as their prayer room...and it feels that way. Five of us went and four had the tuna which was out of this world. Perfectly prepared rare to medium with just the right combination of citrus and capers. Excellent. I could have done without the appetizer which was an artichoke/cheese combo that was too gooey for me. But the deserts!! I think we ordered five and gorged ourselves. It was well worth it. The wine suggestion was perfect as well. A must go in Trento.

The local Trentino cuisine, with its heritage of taste, fine ingredients and tradition, has been passed down from generation to generation in the small mountain villages and isolated valleys. Villa Madruzzo Restaurant proposes a series of traditional dish
The rooms in Belvedere building are spacious, clean and the even numbered rooms have a nice view on the mountains. We stayed at Villa Madruzzo for 5 days over Christmas. The restaurant is open for clients on Christmas and serves tasty Italian food. The local specialty is steak tartare, prepared at the diner table. It was recommended by locals. The spaghetti with gambaâs is a good âprimoâ and most antipasti are excellent. Breakfast buffet is really good and there is a lot of choice. Fresh Italian coffees are included.Dear Rose, thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Villa Madruzzo. We are all very happy to hear that our staff and service met your needs and expectations and that you fully appreciated the quality of our restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future.
