On the 3rd of September 2015 Tortosa had the grand opening of the Restaurant BOTANIC, in Teodoro Gonzalez Street no. 3 (old cinema FEMINA area) It is a place where the Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine go side by side. It offers a very versatile Menu wit
Had a very nice dinner at Botanic. We had their menu which was 18.50⬠pr person, and included starters, maincourse and desssert. We decided to buy a bottle of wine instead of the included wine. Food was really good, and well prepared. Well worth a visit

I had just arrived and I didnât want to walk into town, so I have the often maligned place a try. As Perry Como played in the background , I was quickly seated and I ordered a glass of white., bread, olives and EVOO. The menu offers a starter, a main, and a dessert for 32 euros. The choices reflect the region: black rice, eel, octopus, and a number of meats. There were painfully few vegetable dishes. I ordered pulpo with black rice, eel and clams in a yellowish sauce (the wait person said it was creamy but it didnât seem so to me), and a local dessert ( a small glass of sweet liqueur, some crescent shaped sweet rolls, and some disc-shaped candies). I forgot to write down its name and I did see the same dessert later at other restaurants in town. I thought the food was good; although, I had better seafood at Marisc Medditerrani. The eel, particularly, is worth trying if you like fish. It is usually served in a sauce of some kind, thoroughly cooked and cut into pieces that still contain the small bones. Itâs very tasty. I never used a taxi when I was there; it almost seems unnecessary considering that itâs 10 minutes to the center of town. After dark, particularly, itâs a bit daunting to navigate the walk into town. This place has very nice décor, and the service I received was more than adequate.

Restaurant grill, burguer and craft brewery located in a fifteenth century building next to the cathedral of Tortosa
A refreshing change from other restuarants and bars in town - with live music nights, great atomosphere, no distracting TVs and an amazing selection of craft beers and home foods - good use of space for restaurant, bar, ices and healthy bites! Worth hunting out!

This restaurant has great value without sacrificing the quality of foods nor service. Although it looks rather dull, the al fresco seating or climatized eating room are very cozy. Ther is always a nice 4 services menu with lots of options for less than 15 EUR. Beer from tap. Excelent service.

Great place! This is THE place for Mediterranean, and particularly, local seafood. The first thing I saw was a starter special written on a whiteboard: Two local oysters or an octopus tapas and a glass of al bariño = 3.9 euros (2.9 euros in the afternoon). The nearby delta is a smorgasbord of seafood, particularly shellfish. I has steamed mussels (7 euros) that were the best and freshest I have ever eaten (I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay). I has the aforementioned pulpo and wine, an ensalada mixta (veggies, tuna, olives, and anchovies-6 E), local eel in a spicy tomato sauce (7.5), and a very delicious flan (5). An extra glass of al bariño was only 1,80 e. This wine, among the best of the whites in Spain, is not from the area, and is usually at least 4 euros a glass. The service was quick and polite in this small, unpretentious in the middle of town. MM should be at the top of the list for seafood in this seafood town.Thank you so much for your fantastic review. It's a pleasure to be at your service. We truly appreciate your opinion and we hope you can come back soon. Yours sincerely, the Marisc Mediterrani team

High quality dishes with fresh and special ingredients. Very kind and good service also really suitible for people with a glutenallergy! We will definately come back for the beautiful homemade strawberry sorbet with white wine. Our recommendation is the smoked eal starter and the cod risotto.

Popped in without a reservation (recommend making one) and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of each course. We deliberately made different choices so we could sample more of what was on the menu. We were not disappointed. Lovely glass of rose wine and a fruity white wine (not sweet) accompanied our meal. Pumpkin soup as an appetiser, stuffed peppers and a fabulous salad for starters, a baked cod dish and iberic pork mains, all of which were beautiful. The desserts also did not disappoint. Would recommend this restaurant as one to visit when in Tortosa, particularly as the choices are slightly different to what is usually on offer at other restaurants. The menu is only in Catalan but the waiter speaks good English and is on hand to help if you need it. Oh and you can also drop in for delicious looking tapas which we only spied after paying for the meal. Excellent choice of wines by the glass (including cava :)) and they sell bottles of wine there as well. Want to go back already!

We have been in this small, but very cosy restaurant several times. The food is great, seems like a Michelin star restaurant (a Paris Bistro), but at a very reasonable price. The food is typical catalan/Mediterranean, with a normal wine, at a price from â¬25-â¬35, but if you go at midday, they have an awesome menu for â¬14, which doesnât have much to envy a meal at la carte. I fully recomen when visiting Tortosa.gracias por su consideración y gracias por motivarnos, de parte de todo el equipo de Dmiquel,

We come here very often. At least once per month. I have tasted all kind of rice in the area but i always return to Mas Prades. Others have the fame but here you will appreciate the real taste of seafood paella. The price is very correct. The place is beautiful and the location perfect just in the middles of the Delta. Don't return home without having dinner here.
