We are a family made up of several nationalities, some of which the Italian language is mother tongue whereas for others not. Here, we all felt as being Italians. The atmosphere in Lu Puzzu is ok. Not the fine dining type of restaurant, but great for a relaxed get-together event, eating good food, and chatting about whatever comes to mind. We had small dishes typically side dishes of various foods; mostly seafood though with vegetables, salami, and bread, etc., and, of course, good wine. Now sitting here writing this review I come to think about the Spanish tapas, and this the Italian counterpart and their names. Not easy but having consulted the internet it seems as Cicchetti and Burraoa are two terms for the same type of food; small dishes of various kind or maybe completely different content and origin as Italy is in general: diversified. Although I have to admit, these two words relate to other regions in Italy than the one we visited. Anyway, the food was great and the service good, as can be expected when you have the language skill to guide you to the excellent places and food to enjoy. And the fact that we went back a second time for dinner is proof enough that we can recommend it. For the coffee and ice cream, we went to another of our favorites, and they are in fact many. Particularly when it comes to gelato.

I've been twice here and twice it was good.I do loved the linguine with fish, risotto with the seafood. The sorbet is good after, the wine Passerina - to be tasted. Antipasti - mix of cocked seafood. The atmosphere doesnt need to be described, it is just fantastic. The place has table outside during the warm period. Inside it is covered with glass so you can enjoy the sea.

We really weren't expecting this - tucked in next door to the Supermarket, a very unassuming establishment which gave few clues (no menu or opening times) as to what was inside. We wandered in tentatively and were greeted and shown through to the garden. What a surprise! A delightful garden and then the staff came over to explain the menu, the specials, the wine list. We were shown the catch of the day and opted for that. It was baked with vegetables and was delicious. A word of warning - the menu is not too expensive but a little more than other local places. However, if you go for the catch of the day, as we did, the price can escalate. Not complaining as I had worked out what it would probably be but you need to do that yourself, too.Having said that, everything was delicious, almost fine dining style and the wine was well chosen. A definite gem.

It's necessary discover his cooking to know the history and the identity of new people. The restaurant offers to its customers sea food, shellfish and traditional dishes of "Salento". The strength of our cooking is the freshness of produce, which are cook
I stopped by one evening in Torre Lapillo. Not many places to eat given the multitude of people during that Saturday. Most probably this is the problem: too many gusts and inability to handle all well. The waiters were extremely rude just as if we were making a favor being there and we queued for more than half hour before being seated. When we ordered many plates were not available for the reasonâ¦âwe suspend these preparations as they are express prepared on the spot and as we have too many people, we do not have the timeâ⦠is that a reason? Isnât everything done express on the spot or was this a mistake that betrayed all the rest is pre-cooked or frozen.I took fried calamari rings with the comment of the waiter that their fish is all fresh. It was disgusting. They were like gum!I mentioned this to the cashier who wanted to know if everything was fine, mentioning also that for two plates of fried calamari, one of fries, two glasses of wine, one bottle of water we waited 1 1/2 hour. She offered discount which annoys me even more as it means that this is a habit and that the cashier has received already instructions to offer discount. It is quite often with low level places.I do not recommend this place. Itâs just as if they have gained already too much and they do not care any more. There is no attention whatsoever to the client and it is a mechanical low quality place.Surely they will not miss some guest out of this comment but if intelligent travelers avoid the place by reading this Iâm sure they can find better places (there is a splendid Pescheria just up the road).Mi spiace, non si sia trovato bene, ma non è consuetudine del cassiere elargire sconti in quanto la maggior parte dei nostri clienti si trova bene e paga con piacere.

One of the better restaurants in Torre Lapillo. Nice and simple Italian dishes. Fresh fish. Prices are ok.

In the height of summer pre-book your sunbeds at a beach club. We decided to travel to Torre Lapillo from Torre Canne for a beach day and initially went to the public beach which was heaving on a Friday. Italians go to the beach Fridays-Saturdays. there was little room at 11am and you really need parasols especially if you have children as it is too hot. We went to 4 beach clubs and the first 3 were fully booked but eventually found Lido Stella Maris which had just enough beds for the 8 of us. They have a great spot as the water is shallow for quite away making it good for children. We walked quite a way along the beach and were pleased with our choice of location.Lido Maris Stella is not a posh or 'happening' but quite a casual beach club - it served a purpose for us. It was clean and well maintained. The staff were really friendly and helpful, there was a little snack/drinks bar and a buffet restaurant. We did eat in the buffet restaurant but it was pretty poor - again it served a purpose but would recommend taking a picnic instead. Plastic cutlery and plastic plates. Not nice. The water was clear and warm, sand was golden but it was incredibly busy. At least you get some space when renting sunbeds.I would recommend this for the location.

Great meat place where you choose what you want and pay per kg. Be careful not to choose too much since it all looks so good!We only had one problem where we asked for a kebab to be cooked a little more and it seemed to get lost in the kitchen for 20 minutes until we asked what had happened to it. Besides that it was a good place to eat.Grazieeee

Pescheria 3.0, Modern, 100 Meters From The Sea, Is Possible To Buy Raw Fish Or Cooked, And Eat It Directly. Fries Fish, Grilled Fish, Seafood Appetizers Raw, Wine, Prosecco And Beer
Great fresh fish here, we had both a fresh grilled cod and mixed fried fish and everything was excellent. It takes a bit of working out how to order and choose your fish but there are some helpful signs telling you what to do. You pay per kg.

I shall write the review in English as it might help those vagabonds. For starters the place feels like one of those restaurants that winds you back to 30-40 years back. The young waiters are nice,well-mannered, sometimes a bit too eager (they whisked the plate away even before we finished licking the plate clean) but you feel comfortable. The patio is marvelous with grapes hanging down and the portions are well more than one can eat. Food very fresh the pasta was amazing! They speak a bit of English( my friend was French) but I can't vouch for their english as I'm italian but i can definitely say that with your eyes closed you'll end up having some quite well cooked, definitely mouthwatering seafood.Salve, sono Andrea, il proprietario della struttura ed addetto alle pubbliche relazioni.Grazie per la bella recensione e per esserci venut a trovare, spero di rivederla nuovamente a cenare ancora da noi!!Cordiali saluti, Andrea
