When in Melbourne you must have a good Greek meal. Bahari is the place to go! Authentic, beautifully cooked food that will make you think you in Greece. The menus is simplistic perfection. The setting is cosy and unpretentious. The service if welcoming and helpful. Our server Angel helped guide us in what to order and how much to order. We will be back.

From start to finish, this was a memorable meal. Our waiter, Ricardo, was attentive but never intrusive, and was spot-on with his ideas on our choice of food for the night. We opted for the chef to 'surprise' us with whatever he had received that day from the restaurant's farm. A degustation-style meal followed, mainly with a Sardinian bent. The entire meal was brilliant, and the standouts for us were the pasta with dried red mullet roe and shelled mussels [rather than clams], followed closely by the wagyu beef cabbage rolls and the beautiful raspberry dessert with a birthday-wishes-inscribed chocolate slab on a fresh raspberry and white chocolate mousse.Heaven. Our memorable evening was made more so with a gift of fresh eggs from the farm for our breakfast next day. We'll be back.

Family owned and run providing fine dining Italian cuisine, casual lunches, coffee, take away and private functions
My husband took me out to this restaurant for my birthday. It well and truly supports all the positive reviews it has received thus far. Lovely atmosphere. The food was superb. We started with an antipasto tasting plate which was delicious - all parts of it, we both had fish of the day for mains, which was grilled snapper with small potatoes, beans and broccoli, but also ordered a salad to share. I always think fish is the acid test of a restaurant which Il Duca passed with flying colours. There is a nano second between cooked and tough - this was sublime. It flaked easily from the fork, the flavour not disguised by any sauces - but the fish was flavoursome and delicious. The salad likewise was delicious. We shared the gelato and sorbet - yum! The service was terrific. Water continually topped up, drinks appearing as ordered - every attention to our needs. No delays at all with our food appearing in rapid succession. Happy to recommend, and if weâre over this way again, weâll be back!

First time dining at this great little restaurant. Last minute booking to try something local. The booking had been overlooked but lucky they did have a table for 2. We chose the Sunday special which was great value. Paella and Sangria for two.The meal was served quite fast, sizzling hot and full of seafood and really tasty. Sangria was served in a jug and quite generous. The restaurant ambiance, the decoration and the staff were all v. good. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu. Not necessarily fine dining but good tasty food in a pleasant and congenial atmosphere.

I attended 2 classes with Sandra; a group class and a customized one. The food was really delicious; very refined and well balanced - the best Italian food we had so far - even better than that served in restaurants and in Italy. Sandraâs food is fine dining! Regarding the customized class, I really appreciated the patience that Sandra had in understanding what I was exactly looking for, and she tailored her class to that. She also followed up with us after the cooking class by sending a list of recommended grocery shops. Very good recommendations indeed!I would recommend her class without any hesitation.

This restaurant has doubled in size since we were last here. The Italian staff were helpful with the food and wine selection. They have an express lunch menu where there's a two course meal for $30.00. There was a reasonable selection to please most people.I had the soup and pasta bolognese. Both were tasty and a reasonable portion. We shared a tira misu which I found to be tasteless.I would return again.

Cafe e Cucina hosted a group of 45 staff members from Football Victoria for a late celebratory lunch this week. Not only was our meal absolutely beautiful, the service we received was so personalised, warm and friendly, weâve been talking about the experience in the office ever since. I cannot thank Mauro, Massimo, Arthur and the entire team enough for creating a very special afternoon for us.

Our 'local' turned out to e a highlight of our Melbourne stay. From the minute we stepped inside this tiny [27 sq m!] restaurant we felt at home. Our waitress, Carolina, was a gem - ensuring always that we had enough water and wine, and were enjoying our food, without ever being intrusive. Everything is made on the premises and served up with Italian music in the background. Just fabulous and can't be recommended highly enough.
