After reading all of the good reviews, we felt like we were in the wrong restaurant! We went on a Friday night around 7:30 and it was not crowded at all. The owner greeted and seated us. We waited for a long time then he came back over and asked if we had been waited on. I told him no. Shortly thereafter our server came to the table. She was nice but not very helpful being this was our first time here. Being as service was so slow, we decided to go ahead and order our drinks, appetizer, and entree at one time. It took forever to get our drinks. Then out came our meatball appetizer. There were 3 small/medium meatballs in alot of sauce. They were overcooked and very dry, however, the sauce was delicious. I asked her if we could get some bread but I was told that it comes with the meal only. That was a let down. We then got our salads. I ordered a Caesar salad. When it was served she told me they were out of croutons...not good. My friend ordered an Italian salad. It was alot better than mine. After another while of waiting, we received our entrees. Yay, we finally get the bread!! It was like a garlic bread cut and toasted. It was okay but I just wish we had had some earlier while we waited. I ordered the chicken parmesan. It was not what I was expecting. The chicken was cut up in small pieces served with spaghetti in marinara sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan in one dish. I didn't like that. My friend ordered the Mediterranean shrimp scampi. That too, was just not that good. During our meal, we had a switch in servers. Evidently there were only two servers there and our female server had to leave. Patrick was very friendly and very personable. The owner came over and was very nice but seemed to be making excuses for the issues that we found disliking. We were just looking so forward to going here. It is very easy to get to. It looks very small from the outside but is really a fairly good size restaurant. Time for our check. It was a handwritten check which was very unusual for this type of restaurant. I do not think we will be returning but am glad we went because now we know.

After walking out of a nearby " Greek" restaurant because we didn't want to go through a cafeteria line, we saw Acropolis and luckily decided to try it. Besides the outrageously friendly staff, the food was generous, delicious, and beautifully presented! I would definitely recommend this place!

First time visit and we'll definitely return. We tried the combination platter because it said "perfect for two" and had several Greek staples. Plenty of food for two and each item was excellent. I would however, make one suggestion to management for this entree. Since the perception is that you are essentially ordering two entrees, they should provide two small salads (or soups) and two small sides instead of one per order. On the way out I asked the manager about Ouzo and if I could see a bottle. He immediately figured out that we had never tasted it and quickly poured a small sample in shot glass. I knew that it would probably not appeal to me and it was very strong, but that my wife (from Italy) would enjoyed it and said that it tastes somewhat like Sambuca.
