Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Sibiu. The historic center of Sibiu is still partially enclosed by its original 12th-century medieval walls. Begin your visit in the Piata Mare, home to the Brukenthal Palace, containing the main halls of the Brukenthal National Museum. Descend the Passage of the Stairs down into lower Sibiu, and make sure to be on your best behavior as you cross the Bridge of Lies. A trek in the nearby Făgăraș Mountains will lead you past breathtaking ridges and serene glacial lakes.
Things to do in Sibiu
Time cafe and cuisine was created to bring quality and valuable time to all his clients. Friendly staff, quality food and drinks are ready to welcome any customer. All we have is TIME. Make it count.
This place has the BEST vegan options (including breakfast and desserts!) in Sibiu. And their almond milk cappuccino is the best I've had ANYWHERE. However, they have plenty of non-vegan menu items as well -- all of which are super fresh and masterfully prepared. Definitely a MUST while you're in Sibiu!

Upon recommendation, I decided to pay a visit on a Saturday evening to taste some authentic Italian cuisine. I was going for the pizza, but in the end switched to "catch of the day" turbot on the grill. Sounds good, right? It does, but the happy times stopped right there. The fish was cooked altogether with organs and the taste and smell changed accordingly. Awful, just awful. But what really bothered me was the staff and the service. They were literally starring at you and your plate as if you were having a time limit, or you were just about to start a robbery or something. I have never in my life felt weirder in a restaurant. Clients were weird to say the least, we really felt like we were trapped in a parallel world. I've had bad experiences before, but this goes right to the very top!

Been here Saturday night with my wife and 4 of our friends. The place is relatively in the centre part of the city, easy to find. First impression was nice even dough as soon as you enter a smell of foodnhits you beacose of the open kitchen. the waiter sat us down. After 10 minutes he came back for the order. I want to mention that the restaurant was full, and for the duration of the dinner I saw only 2 waiters. this is outrageous, the owners in Romania are thinking only about money. Please stop exploiting people like this. Even dough the conditions were tough, the waiter was prompt, nice and professional. He came back with the drinks order fast. The food looked nice. The pizzas were big and tasty. I had a sea food platter wich you can see in the picture. it was tasty but for the price, it seemed a little bit poor. It's just a mix of sea food that you can find in thou local supermarket. We could say that we enjoyed our food and service, all and all it was a nice experience. Before I forget. They also need to be more strict with people smoking. Smoking it's not permitted indoors in Romania. Someone of the guest cheet by using vaporizers or regular cigarets with some kind of filters. It's very unpleasant and disrespectful for the non smoking people in the restaurant. The waiters or the owners should do something about it, invite these people outside.

We had a very nice meal and enjoyed it very much. The pizza is large enough for at least two people. The grilled veggies and mamaliga were also very tasty. All around a 5 star experience.

This Greek restaurant is currently hidden away behind builderâs screens and scaffolding as the exterior of the building is renovated, but inside, if one finds the entrance, there is a very good restaurant, nicely decorated with Greek themes and objects dâart. Having rather overdosed on pork during our stay in Romania, we were rather looking forward to the possibility of some lamb: a staple of Greek food if previous experience is anything to go by. However, it seems lamb is not on any menu in Romania at the moment, so my wife ordered a bean and cheese based vegetable dish and I ended up with a large platter of calamari on a bed of peppers, tomatoes and courgettes. Both were excellent at this price point. The restaurant was comfortable and the staff attentive. Hopefully the scaffolding will come down soon (and a source of lamb will appear.)

Teatro is a international cuisine restaurant in the old town of Sibiu, set 300 meters from Bridge of lies.We also have a beautiful garden and terrace during summer time.free parking and wi fi available on site.
The quatroformaggi and the seafood torteloni were ok, reasonable, but would not order them again. The t bone steak was good, juicy. We did not like that they could not serve a reasonable 600 g cowboy steak- they said they could not slice in two the big chunk of meat of 1100 g. Who eats a 1100g steak?! The Glass house wine is way too expensive -17 lei/glass. The Best thing was the courtyard. Very refreshing in a hot day.

Yesterday we went 6 persons, including a 4 years old child to have dinner at Max. We arrived at 5:30pm there and we ordered quickly because we were very hungry. We were announced that the person who made pizza, will arrive in 20 minutes, so our order will last 30 minutes, we will get our food at 6:30pm. At 6:30 pm the waiter came and told us that the cook didnât arrived after an hour late. We waited another 15 minutes and we left.So at almost 7 pm we left the restaurant hungry and with a child asking for pizza, crying. The experience was horrible for the second time!! We usually go there at least once a week but this was our last time! Distinti saluti.Colonna Gianfranco

Tango Restaurant & Pub is the place in Sibiu where the foods dances on your tongue.
The outside was full and they set up a couple more tables so that we and others could dine. The menu is quite large for this small place. We had mushroom and spinach cream soup which were thick and creamy, plus well presented. My wife had a vegetable salad, which had quite a bit of iceberg lettuce. I had tortellini with a nice creamy parmasean sauce and a bit too much cubed ham. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was perfect. An enjoyable evening.

Monday thru Friday we serve business lunch from 12 noon to 4 PM
I had seafood pasta, it was tasty and fresh. My husband had some traditional pork recipe, it was ok, not awesome and the price is not really justified for what it contains. At dessert we had chocolate soufle, which is a bit overrated because it's not actually a soufle, it a cake you find in retail and reheat at microwave.Waiter was attendive.
