Staff are friendly. I had the tiger prawns and steamed salmon, both were good. However, the portions were enormous, biggest I've ever seen in my life. Also, it seems that you have to have 2 or 3 courses where 1 course would have been fine

This was a first visit and canât say we will be rushing back. The service is fine, but the food wasnât really up to much. The tapas dishes arrived within minutes of ordering so obviously preprepared and microwaved as needed. Wouldnât have been so bad if it was evenly heated - chorizo was burning hot and therefore hard as it was over cooked, albondigas were barely warm. Taste of all the dishes was okay but portions are small - not an issue if they are top quality, but these arenât. The main course we had was ok and freshly cooked, but you donât get a lot for your money - a £14 chicken dish is just a plate of chicken with some tomato and lettuce (although it was advertised as coming with mushrooms and peppers). The issue with mixing tapas and big plates is that those eating tapas had finished eating before those with main courses got their food. There are better places to go in Hitchin, and Iâm guessing the high rating comes from big groups who are looking for atmosphere and value rather than quality.

Lovely place to eat tapas. We had the £10 light lunch which included a small starter salad, choice of 2 skewers, including prawns, and a potato choice. A drink was also included. The server was polite and attentive. Definitely a great place to entertain.

I have walked past this place for a while and not stopped... but today did!! They do a Sunday-Thursday special deal... £13.95 for any starter and any main course (except lamb cutlets which are £2 more). All in all, we enjoyed our king prawn and falafel starter, and mixed grill and Turkish fajitas ... for todayâs price, great. The staff are very friendly and happy which is nice, and it has a lovely cosy decor. Iâve given it 4 out of 5 (very good) only because Iâm comparing this place to my favourite 5 out of 5 Turkish restaurant in Old Town Stevenage which is amazing.

Family of three booked and had a very enjoyable pizza meal. Restaurant and decor are distinctly no frills; wooden tables, benches, not unlike an authentic pizza place in Italy. Pizzas were very good, as was side salad. Glass of house red was also good quality. Dessert menu perhaps could do with a few additions as a little sparse. Service was good from 'older' staff - may have been owner, not sure, but the youngsters were not quite so good and didn't seem to remember much!Nevertheless we enjoyed the meal and experience and are likely to return !!Hi James,Thank you for posting a review and for the constructive feedback. We stopped here for a lunch passing through Biggleswade, and Iâm so pleased we did. Food was delicious, perfectly cooked prawns, rich and unctuous Moussaka and delightful chargrilled chicken were amongthe things we sampled. We elected to choose from the set lunch menu and itâs really amazing value for money. Service was also flawless. Congratulations to the whole team at Pera Kitchen, it couldnât have been better.

A lovely breakfast with friends before attending the Central Bedfordshire Council Election Count at Chicksands. Food was great and the service fabulous. A really nice start to what turned out to be a fantastic day. Thank you for opening early and setting us up for the day!
