We were glad to have booked a a table earlier in the week as the restaurant was full with people queueing on Saturday evening and we were delighted to have a seat in the upstairs area at the window which overlooked the sea. The service was excellent and the menu choice was vast and predominantly seafood which was to be expected. We ordered the monkfish rice which was absolutely delicious and full of monkfish and shellfish, so much so that we could not finish the dish. We did however have room for one of the sharing desserts which was so good. Highly recommend this place for a nice meal.

After not being able to find parking in town, we decided to give Lobo do Mar a try. We saw no reviews prior to going but the place was packed and considering it was outside the main area of town it was a good sign. We were not disappointed. The process is great. You go in and they assign you a table. Once the table is available you go to the line to pick your freshly caught fish from the display. There were 8 type on display today plus two types of clams. Unfortunately sardines were not one tonight (or they ran out) as I really wanted some as a starter. We had Imperador (a fish), clams, and squid. Fish and squid were simply grilled and were incredibly fresh, delicious, and grilled to perfection. The clams were traditional portugues with olive oil, cilantro, and white wine. Simple. Exceptional. We also had potatoes, salad, etc. Nothing fancy, but nothing to detract for the main dishes. For drinks we had white sangria. If you like sangria, it is a must. Very, very tasty. The service was good but the poor man working our area was terribly over worked. He had approximately 14 groups he was serving from 2 persons to multiple tables of 5-6 persons. He was frazzled running back and forth constantly and being called over by many tables. I was observing his efforts and he was not wasting any time or efforts, very good at his job. He was just swimming with concrete boots on this service. Just trying to stay above water which he did. We left him a nice tip as he could use a drink after dinner service. I know I would. This was easily our favorite meal so far in Portugal. It was pricey though as the Imperador was their most expensive fish and ours weighed 2kg. Had we selected a lesser fish, this probably would have been our least expensive meal in this trip as everything else was modestly priced. Choose wisely to your taste and budget. I have no regrets as to what we paid.

Lovely pizza restaurant. Everything is prepared fresh (allmost) right in front of you. Staff is very friendly. And this is definetly to go to if you wanna have something else than fish! Pizza is delicious, aswell as the garlic bread with cheese and the desert.

Serving only fresh seafood and not fish, this rather casual place really delivers excellent seafood, freshly cooked on the spot. Full of locals as well as tourists, it's not a smart place to linger but for fresh seafood, it's the place to go

Simply fantastic! The best seafood dishes I've eaten in Portugal! In particular delicious salads of fish and crab. The owner is very kind and tries to help you in every way explaining the various dishes. Really highly recommended!

Whilst not used to eating a lot of seafood this place is a real experience. The staff were busy serving and cooking the fish and grumbling - but not in a bad way. The seafood was really fresh and reasonably priced. Get there early as by 7:00 pm guests absolutely 'packed in like sardines'!

The creme brulee with halzenut that I had was the best one I've ever had. Totally recommend. Advice to book table because can get really full and busy.

Vegan and Vegetarian options
Stopped here on a lunch break from day trip. Lovely little restaurant, the owner greeted us and was very helpful with ordering (no menu just daily specials). My husband doesnât eat seafood so he had a toasty (ham and cheese sandwich with caramelized onions) which turned out to be amazing! I tried the codfish dish which was like a fish and veggie bake with salad. Was a nice option on a hot day. Really enjoyed it and was a great quick stop.
