Things to do in Santa Gertrudis

I decided to try somewhere new today and after seeing how busy it was inside and out (3.45pm on a Sunday) I thought that this would be a good choice. I opened up trip advisor to see what was said about it and the reviews were great. But all I can say is that these people have no understanding as to what a pizza actually is.First of all, the base was very thin and very crispy. But not crispy like crunchy crispy and still soft inside, this was like a biscuit base. when lifting up a slice there was no bend or flop, it stayed perfectly level. So this was a 1/5 score for that.the sauce... oh my god the sauce.... this is where the real flavour of the pizza lies and good chefs make their own sauce to their liking to showcase their skills. lesser chefs buy in a good sauce that still tastes ok. this place clearly just bought "tomato frito" from the super market. probably in a carton... it was bland and flavourless. it was an embarrassment that a restaurant should be using this and still charging â¬8+ for the cheapest pizza on the menu! so, 1/5 (if i could give 0 i would!)The cheese. reasonable, but obviously not buffalo mozzarella, but thats to be expected most of the time i suppose. 3/5And finally, the basil. the "secret" ingredient in all good pizza's. well, there was none, but not just none, there was oregano (quite why people put this on a pizza i don't know) in its place. oregano is not restaurant quality, basil is. 1/5Normally I look at what people are eating on the way in to decide if I want to eat there, but all the plates were empty, and i thought that must be a good sign... it wasn't. it was just that the pizza was so thin and so small that it was like an appetiser. If I had have seen one on the way in, i'd have carried on and tried somewhere else, but by then it was too late...All in all, very disappointing. maybe the rest of the menu is good. some people were eating indian food and it smelled nice. but... as far as pizza goes, forget this place. I've had better frozen pizza's from the supermarket.

Our first time of dining in St Gertrudeâs but weâve been visiting Ibiza for over 20 years. This is by far one of the best restaurants on the island. Service is friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable about all the dishes and wine. Garden area is lovely with a very relaxed vibe and tables a good distance from each other. All our dishes were all excellent. So good in fact we returned for a second visit in one week. Would highly recommend, a real find. Pricey but then all the good places are in Ibiza now but this one is special! Thank you very much for your review!!! We're super happy that you experience was so good :) We hope to see you soon again :) Thank you

On holiday in Ibiza and visited the lovely town of Santa Gertrudis. Happen to sit down in this unpretentious restaurant/ pizzeria and can honestly say it was the best pizza Iâd eaten in years - thin base, crispy, good amount of toppings made in a real pizza oven. It was delicious and I gave my compliments to the pizza-maker!Thank you for your review - we are proud of our traditional and authentic pizza recipes. Look forward to seeing you again soon!

We returned to Es Jardins for a Birthday celebration and sat in the courtyard under a large parasol. There was a wedding party there at the same time and we thought that might detract from our occasion and affect the quality of the cooking. Not at all, the jolly families only made us feel even happier, although we were quick to get our order in first! As previously, the standard of the cuisine was excellent and everything we ordered - especially the tempura prawns and the scallops - was delicious, whilst the shoulder of lamb was world-class. We downed several bottles of good wine (the list including some decent French wines - not outrageously expensive - as well as the Spanish staples) and were looked after so well by the owner Sergio and the charming Martin.Es Jardin is well worth a visit and is even more delightful now in the Summer. Top marks!

The restaurant is part of a complex dedicated to the recovery, production and marketing of traditional products of Ibiza, such as sausages, cheeses and dairy. In the restaurant Can Caus can taste from a salad with fresh products from Ibiza's garden, typic
great food, friendly waiters. air extraction could be much better, sitting inside air extractions blows you away, too strong air flow.

In many aspects, Santa Gertrudis, in the centre of Ibiza, is similar to most of the villages around the island. One way is does differ, however, is the unusually high number, for its size, of quality eateries on offer. One such place is Musset, a cafe/ re
I liked this place and staff more than the food. Son and I had skirt steak. I know skirt is a tougher more flavoursome cut, but even at medium rare a T.Rex would've struggled to make headway. But the rest of the food was very good and the waitress was sweet and excellent.

Lunch at Le Monde was an enjoyable experience, with simple, but quite tasty dishes. Gnocchi with speck tasted great, although the gnocchi itself were rather soft. Popular spot, ok service, good prices.

Bar Costa has a simple and outstanding menu. There are two options for every "dish" ... bocadillo or racion. Bocadillo is a sandwich, racion is a portion ... the main difference is that when you order racion, you should order as well "Pan tomat" (Bread tomato). There are like 10 to 15 different offers, the main ones being three different types of ham (jamon) and 3 different types of breast (lomo), the olives are wonderful and the main thing is that you eat as much as you want, you do not have to stuff yourself. The coffee is good as well as the beer (cania), making the place very suitable for breakfast, lunch, fternoon snack, dinner and/or late night dinner. Very good and swift attention, very well decorated ... you have a vast selection of where to sit down, outside, inside... Strongly recommended.
