El Salvador's capital, San Salvador, is a modern city of wide boulevards and narrow streets, outdoor markets, government buildings, high-rises, monuments, an exuberant nightlife, museums and other cultural institutions. And all set against the backdrop of San Salvador volcano. The city is surrounded by shantytowns as well as affluent suburbs with restaurants and large shopping malls. Peaceful settings such as the botanic garden of Parque Cuscutlan provide a break from the city's hectic pace.

Cozy, classic, french restaurant with a dynamic menu and modern flair. Very central location in La Zona Rosa, just across the street from The Barceló Hotel, walking distance from Museo Marte, Sheraton Presidente Hotel and Clarion Suites. We have a fixed m
The Italian menu is outstanding. I recommend the lemon risotto with salmon and the canolis for dessert. The herbs were fresh and Oscar, chef owner, was there all the time making sure all was done to perfection. The food was served beautifully and the service was just as great. Itâs a great little place for visiting and to take a long break. Totally worth it! My first choice in San Salvador. Ask to meet the Chef and his staff. Theyâre a delightful and well bonded team. Itâs a pleasure to watch how they care for each other and their customers.

Delikat is a thin crust "flavor upscaled" pizzeria also serving a wide range of french style salads, homemade focaccia style sandwiches, fresh carpaccios, appetizers and 5desserts. We also featured a short list of breakfast options with Benedict eggs, fre
We live very close to Delikat in San B and really love the brunch menu but the last few times we have waited more than 45 minutes to be served. Last week the place was NOT too busy, with many empty tables yet we sat, and sat, and finally got a couple of the beverages, (not all of them at one time? Had to wait more for the rest) and then after 45 minutes (or more) the food came. We were famished! We love the atmosphere and they do have great pizza too, but we will hesitate to return for awhile because of this. :(Dear Travelingnomad16Thank you for sharing your opinion on the TripA. I am terribly sorry for your bad experience during that brunch. As you may know, we prepare everything from scratch and it takes time. Even more when the place is quite busy. As you tell me that it was not so, we are definitely doing something wrong ! I will revise our procedures so we can make sure that our clients wait the less amount of time once seated. I hope you will give us another chanceHave a nice daySincerely yoursGT

For my birthday, my Mom and one of her friends decided on taking me to A Fuego Lento. I had never heard of the place, but I decided to let them take me to discover a new spot on the map. And, boy, this was a pleasant surprise. The signature dish is Paella Valenciana, a Spanish delicacy, and let me tell you it is good (not excellent, but good). My choice was Paella Mixta (rice with seafood and pork and chicken meat, among other ingredients) and it was the right one. Value is excellent when you take into account that for $9.95 you get an entree (salad), the main dish (a regular-to-big Paella), and a small dessert (a small piece of vainilla ice cream). In addition, my drink choice was a "fresco de ensalada" (juice with a variety of chopped fruits). The place was clean, we got exactly what we ordered, service speed was incredibly fast (the food was ready in less than 10 minutes). The only sour spot is the atmosphere: in a Spanish-food restaurant, you expect a Spaniard-type decoration plus music from the peninsula. We found none of these: the house where the restaurant is located is very plain and the music playing was standard American pop fare, plus an interlude of live marimba music. All in all, a surprising place where I would visit again to savor the Paella once more.

We were lucky to get a table at the last minute. It was Prix Fixe menu. As most restaurants are on special event nights. It was my first time and my expectations were high. Unfortunately they were not met. I think I wouldâve been better going on a night when they werenât busy and I could have ordered off of the regular menu. The carpaccio salad was good but the Burratta was missing seasoning. Our pastas were both mediocre. Lacking flavour and a little overcooked. We both had the meat and mushrooms entrée at the end and it was very salty. Our dessert was a brownie with gelato. Neither of us finished it as it was a little dry. I am hoping when I return the food is better. And I also found the service a little rushed towards the end.

Well located, at the heart of San Benito neighbourhood, San Salvador, the "La Gastroteca" restaurant was a very nice surprise: small restaurant, part of Clarion Suites, in front of a very busy boulevard, offering a nice terrace and cosy interior. The best of it, its amazing food. It has an International menu based on creative and delicious dishes with elegant presentation. Though a bit pricey, it's worth it.Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience at our establishment. We are glad you enjoyed the food and service, and hope to welcome you back in the near future. Regards,F.A.

Went with colleagues for dinner. Ordered the steak in red wine sauce. Steak was cooked to order and accompanied by vegetables. Live music was playing at the entrance. Great ambiance. The spicy sauce for the bread was really good! Drizzled olive oil on your plate and add the spicy sauce then soak it up with the bread, muy delicioso!
