We were a party of six, we had five different dishes and all of us had a good experience in general.We all thought the atmosphere was nice in the restaurant, I can't speak much for the location, but it served us well.The only complaint from our table was about the Moussaka, even though it was good, a touch of tzatziki or something else other than the Moussaka on the plate had been nice. Not that it was bad in any way, just too much of one thing.We all left the restaurant happy with our belies full, but it took some time before we got our bill, it seemed no one really knew what we had really ordered and that caused some confusion.In general all of us was in a good mood and the people who served were as well. I would not hesitate to make another visit.

Attractive open kitchen with several subsections where you place your order and your bill is added onto your restaurant card; you see your fresh Italian food being cooked for you; you get it yourself; you may share the table with other guests; you get fantastic food, very reasonable prices, very lively atmosphere - something different from the usual pushy restaurants - we loved it all - fantastic. Great pizza, wonderful pasta, nice wine. We will certainly go there everytime we happen to be in this boring city.

I only had a light meal here but the caprese salad I had was good.The red wine was good, the pannacotta was so and so.Was very quiet in the restaurant which is because of the wintertime, Warnemuende is a seebad so in winter not a lot of sunbathing going on. There does seem to be a lot of Italian restaurants if you want to go for anything else but fish.

Some restaurants deserve multiple reviews, just because they keep bettering themselves, or innovating themselves, or just because they deserve the credit. L´Osteria in Rostock is definitely one of them. We went there with friends last Thursday again and once again it was delicious and the service outstanding. Their pizza´s are out of this world and you can decide to have two different pizza´s in one pizza (half and half). I was there with my girlfriend and 2 children.We got a table at the dockside with a specatular view of the water and sunset. Our food, pizzas and pasta, was delicious, my beer was nice and frosty and the girlfriends mangojuice was outstanding.Finally the bill for the evening was a positive surprise.We ended the evening with a nice walk along the harbour.

At the end of the less busy side of the Alte Strohm, but worth the walk. Nice terrace, overlooking the water. Good choices on the meu. We both had a very nice thin-crust pizza. Wine a bit pricy. Staff friendly.

Went with 11 colleagues. Nice atmosphere. Europop coming out a bit too loud from a speaker next to my ear. (Perhaps unlucky in choice of seating - other areas seemed to have better sound levels.) Colleagues had ribs and steaks - they all looked and tasted great. I had a burger which alas! was dry and tasteless. And you'd expect chips with a burger - but came with no accompanying sides Toilets needed redecoration. Very nice dunkel beer - other brews tried were a bit weak tasting (although I have just come from Munich so my standards are high.) No English language menu so have a native speaker or google translate ready. One brave soul went for the blood sausage. It is probably an acquired taste (but not one I personally wish to acquire).

Visited here while on a day trip with cruise ship. Great food and service overlooking the water in Rostock. Shared the mixed salad with fish pieces, it was lovely. Also had the schnitzel. Good choice of wines. Staff were very friendly and help to choose a wine.
