It had been several years since we last went to the Acropolis here in Riverview (south Brandon). It was my wife's birthday, and I knew she would like to go there, so I surprised her with a reservation for 4 on a Wednesday evening at 6:15p.They were not busy, and we were promptly seated. We started with what I though was going to be regular stuffed mushrooms along with their delicious bread for an appetizer. The mushrooms instead were stuffed inside a round cheese ball that was then baked. Very interesting and tasty, but very filling! We each had a different plate: Greek meatballs, Chicken Rhodes with roasted veggies and olives, Eggplant Salad that looked delicious, and their evening special, Salmon Mantari served with pasta. As it was my wife's birthday, they brought out a round chocolate dessert, that was eaten up so quickly I did not get a chance to take a picture of it. But they did sing happy birthday to her and through napkins! Our bill, including wine, came to $91, or just over $20 per person.

Was taken to Zeko's by a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless. The wait staff at the counter was pleasant and accommodating. I had the Falafel Wrap with chopped tomatoes, onions, and imported pickles topped with their own tahini (sesame based sauce) and rolled up and lightly pressed in a pita. The falafel was very good and tasted authentic; I did not like the addition of the pickle and the tahini sauce was so lightly added I could not taste it. I chose the "chop chop" salad as a side: chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, red onion in a light vinaigrette dressing. I normally don't like cucumbers, but these were so finely chopped I enjoyed them. Definitely will make a return trip to try their gyro.

What a cool and unique tea shop! I give it 5 stars just because it was such a neat experience. I liked that they motion you over to the sample tea area that has many tubes of their different tea blends. You basically open up the tubes that interest you the most, and pick the tea of your choice based on the aroma. I've never seen that before. Anyway, it was the Recovery Tea Blend that interested me the most. I ended up getting that as an iced tea blended with whole milk. You can choose from almond, soy, and whole milk to make it a blended tea. I added boba because it was the only topping. I would have preferred to have jellies instead, but I don't think they would have blended well with the ginger in my tea. It actually turned out to be a good combination. The boba absorbed some of the tea flavor. I have to say that the tea had a wonderful flavor. This shop is totally about the tea leaf. They even have desserts that contain their tea as an ingredient. The matcha green tea cheesecake was one of those items that I couldn't pass up. It was creamy & delicious with a very well-pronounced taste of matcha. The oreo cookie crust just made it all come together very well. I will definitely order this again. I was also very pleased with the service. They were very attentive to my needs. I can't wait to go back. I'm looking forward to trying their purple yam cake that I was reading about. It's a Filipino treat. They also have a small food menu of light & healthy items that I want to try one day soon.Thank you so much and hope to see you again!
