Carmelloâs has been a Punta Gorda delight for several years. With their move to a new location, they have become a prime restaurant in town. Their food is delicious and the service is excellent. The sachettini is excellent as is the bada bing. For a special night on the town, Carmelloâs is the place to go.

We took some out of town guests here for a quick lunch recently and they were really impressed. Said if they lived here, this would be a regular go-to place for them. This is from big city people. We had gyros, wraps, a hot dog, salad, fries, all good. It really is a special PG place. It took a good while for one of our party to get their food while others were well on their way, otherwise would have rated the service higher.

Antar's Food Corner is located in the convenience store at the Marathon gas station in Punta Gorda, FL. Next door to the Salvation Army Store. In addition to the usual candy and crap, the food counter serves up great gyros with the meat sliced off while you wait, as well as subs, fried chicken, and sides. There is no ambiance--it's a gas station, but there is seating inside for maybe a dozen people, or outside at several tables, or take away. When you get tired of the same old chain restaurant food, stop in. They have gas, too.
