Roe eat & drink, is a new Restaurant in Punta del Este. A warm and relaxed proposal, where each client arms his own order. Helped by its owners. In a pleasant frame in the middle of the forest. Quality, attention and good gastronomy accompany us ...
In Uruguay where every restaurant seems to offer the same basic menu any place that tries to offer something a little different is most welcome. This new place on a non tourist street in Maldonado is most welcome in the neighborhood. Pizza and empanadas are standard in UY but here they offer fresh made quesadillas or fajitas instead. And while the flavors lack what would be called Mexican, they were quite good. The place is tiny, being inside a converted shipping container and being too cold to eat outside but they offer take-out which was nice. Restaurant was full of locals, so hopefully they will be able to stay open all year as planned. Although I think they are closed for all of May. Will definitely be going back to try more things and support a new neighborhood place.

First night in the area and we wanted somewhere we could walk too. Wow best meal of our South American adventure. With both owners working one in the kitchen and one in the front this has a lovely family feel. Food perfect with lots of choice and everything home made. We never go back twice when we are on holiday but we will be returning. The owner speaks near perfect English and the other delightful waitress was great explaining the menu to us. Well worth a visit.

I'marangatú holds the stories of the time when Punta del Este was projected to the world through the visits of the international jet set, being a historical icon in the social life of Punta del Este. Today it returns in all its splendor as a unique meetin
This place is horribly overpriced for the quality of ingredients and poor preparation of same. I got the worst steak I've had in South America, and the sweet potatoes were glazed with some kind of super sweet something that combined with the flavor of the potatoes made them sickly sweet and inedible. Plus they charge 140 peso (per person) cover for bread, that was one stale papadum and three slices of various breads. So you charged me $10 US for two people to split 4 pieces of mediocre bread, ruined my steak by charring the outside to a burnt lump, and made my vegetable into a dessert. This is more money than we've spent on a meal than any other place in 7 months in South America, and I am sad to say out was not even in the top 10 meals we've had, most for a quarter of the cost.Dear Millet02,Thank you very much for visiting I'marangatú. We are very sorry to hear that you didn´t quite enjoy your experience, since we really take great care in the setting, the service and in the quality of the products we offer and we do it with honesty and commitment, that is why, we would have liked to have the chance to change your dishes or having been able to address your complaint at the time. As for the prices, we believe they are in line with market prices, even not being the most expensiveâ¦please take into consideration that both taxes and service costs are very high in Punta del Este. We hope to have the opportunity to make it up for you sometime, you are always welcome.

We have stayed in Punta a number of times but this is the first time we have been to this restaurant. And it will not be the last! A great find. The menu offers a good choice and there is something to suit all tastes and moods. Clearly a very skilled Peruvian chef and we tried both the ceviche and the tiradito which were excellent. In fact all three courses we each had were delicious with the exception of the Thai chicken which was just âokâ, but I blame myself for ordering something which clearly was not a speciality in an Uruguayan restaurant with a Peruvian chef! Very friendly and efficient service. Definitely recommended. DearThank you for your comment. We are very happy to known that you enjoy your experience in Life Bistró.We hope to see you again Best Regards,
Visited with a family of 6 and the food as well as the service were amazing. The friendly server made the whole experience awesome. We ordered 6 different plates and each and every one was great. Prices were also great.

Loved this place! The Provoleta is probably the best I ever had. Make reservations if you go over the weekends because is usually really packed. The oven vegetables are amazing too. Everything comes with a side or over the food pesto that is amazing. Ask to put it on the side if you are not sure because almost all plates come with it.The Milanesa napolitana is amazing too.

The first time we were searching this place, we did not notice that this normal house door, hardly lit, was actually the entrance. No reservations are taken, but if you are there and all the tables are occupied, it is worth it to wait until a table becomes free. To recommend: "bife de lomo" and the seafood tartlet. We returned several times.

The place is located at a spectacular spot. Right on the water with a beautiful swimming pool. The cocktails are nice and drinks are good. However, the service is absolutely horrible! The staff are incompetent and very rude and unhelpful. The food tasted absolutely horrible and still extremely expensive!Overall a bad experience.

Good place. Nice, honest food. If the weather is nice, there is outdoor seating. Don't ask for the creme brulée though, not their best dish.
