Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Providenciales. The most populated of the Turks and Caicos islands, Providenciales is one of the world’s top beach destinations. The diving and snorkeling is as convenient as it is stunning, thanks to miles of coral reef that’s easily accessible from the shore. The upscale resorts and captivating beachscapes of Grace Bay make it a popular choice for waterfront escapes. The cliffs and crags of Chalk Sound make a lovely backdrop for kayaking the bright turquoise waters.
Things to do in Providenciales
We recently dropped by El Catador to try it out for some before dinner drinks and small plates, before heading over to Le Bouchon for dinner. El Catador is located right across the street from Le Bouchon and is from the same owners. It was pretty hot outside when we stopped by, so we decided to go with the indoor seating option so we could enjoy the refreshing ac. There is also a spacious outdoor area with plenty of tables.Service was prompt and friendly, you can sit at the bar or one of the tables to eat and drink. The vibe was casual and fun. It is a good option whether you are in the mood for a couple of drinks with some food or a variety of small plates for a full meal. It would be a great choice for late night drinks as well! We tried a few dishes, all were very tasty and we particularly enjoyed the tzatziki plate. They have a decent wine list and a full bar available, menu has a number of interesting choices to select from. El Catador is worth a visit and I'm looking forward to sampling more of their delicious tapas when we return.

True Italian comfort food. Fresh homemade pastas, imported cured meats and cheeses, antipasti, Roman styled pizzas and more... All served in a warm and casual atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating, within walking distance from many of the resorts.
Itâs a small restaurant with outdoor seating. We were lucky enough to be able to dine outside because the humidity disappeared and a light breeze picked up. The menu lacked the lobster we anticipated but wasnât their fault. They close down lobster fishing for several months so you couldnât get a lobster anywhere until August 16. We settled into their pasta dishes with an Italian accent and decent wine. The setting is in town so not as romantic as our hotel but they were friendly and the food was good. We enjoyed it. It has a very limited menu so look ahead of time so you are not disappointed. But still go and enjoy.

We came for dinner and fell in love. Married to an Italian we know our pasta! The homemade pasta was amazing! We had margarita pizza, a salad and fettuccine with meat sauce. Everything was fresh and wonderful flavors! Portions are large enough to share! (Although I recommend getting your own plate!) A+++ for the dessert as well!We will definitely be back!!!

Dine on our spacious deck, in our picturesque gazebo or in our open air dining room as you take in the inimitable hues of the iridescent waters of Chalk Sound. Our menu features Tapas and Mediterrean cuisine with a Caribbean splash. Poolside Bar, Terrace,
I want to love this place because the view is so amazing. We have been here 3 times now hoping that weâd experience something different. The food was good, service was fair at best and we felt that it was all a bit overpriced for what we got.

A favorite dining spot of island residents, the al fresco, deck-style restaurant, friendly staff and superb selection of fine wines makes Caicos Cafe a terrific place for casual romantic dining. Chef Max Olivari presents a notable savory menu offering Med
Our dinner was delicious including grilled octopus, squid ink pasta with lots of seafood and grilled salmon. They had excellent choices of dessert as well and I really enjoyed mille feuille. The waiter was friendly and provided pleasant service. Price point was on a higher side even for Providenciales.

Nothing hits the spot like meat and vegetables, right off the spit. At Turks Kebab you'll discover that your favorite Mediterranean classics were meant to mingle with our authentic island side-dishes. It makes for a simple, healthy and incredibly tasty me
Turks Kebab was easily our favorite meal while visiting Providenciales. It's a small spot, just a short walk from most of the resorts on Grace Bay. We walked up, heard the reggae playing, and smelled the food and knew were in the right place. The resorts nearby offer more expensive food for sure, but Turks Kebab is better, a bit less expensive, and the vibe is so great. We had the falafel wrap (great for vegans), and the chicken kebab plate, and all were satisfied. More pictures and video are at @plant.based.traveler on IG too!
