Freshly caught fish and well prepared seafood. The owner is very friendly and spent time sharing his experiences in the U.S. while his wife prepared the food. Small place but well maintained.

We loved everything about this place.beautiful view and nice table settings. I will return for the ravioli with Mozzarella and black Truffles. So good! We had the house wine and were surprised by the quality. The restaurant is family run and the pride is reflected in the food, service and atmosphere. Recommended for couples like us, one fish lover and one no! Very nice selection of dishes on the menu and we enjoyed everything .

We had a Saturday dinner (Feb16) at La Bussola. Great food, simple, homemade, fresh. Low season at Porto San Stefano, so we were only foreigners among other customers. Local families, couples, friends, - wonderful cozy atmosphere, it seems all people know each other. Very welcoming hosts, smiling, attentive. Highly recommended!

Wonderful food served with a smile. Grilled meat, chicken fried in breadcrumbs both served with potatoes two desserts (panna cotta) to die for! Water and half litre of house wine â¬37.50.

Cinghiale tasted frozen. Rest of food ok.Waitress insisted on leaving front door open despite cold breeze just so they could serve customers on other side of road- not nice!

We were warmly welcomed and given a free room upgrade when we arrived to stay the one night. We also booked a table at the on sight restaurant. At dinner we were welcomed by the professional maitre d`and knew straight away we were in for a unique meal experience. We were seated immediately and the service got better and better each minute we were there. We put our self in the hands of an experienced sommelier for the wine and we had a taster menu which was excellent. It was wow from beginning to the end. One of the best meal experiences we have ever had.

We booked the restaurant for the last night of our holiday. The restaurant lives up to its billing. Whilst the venue is understated, the food, service and wine is of the best quality. The menu was limited but there was something for everyone. We had a super evening in a nice cosy atmosphere. Would strongly recommend it. Make sure you book

The location is just in front at the ferry station from Porto Santo Stefano to Giglio Island and you can have a perfect family deal...kids menu or wood oven Pizza hand made and an amazing selection of fish from starters throw pasta and main courses for the parents, like me....,all followed by a good selection of wines, I choose a Ca Del Bosco dosage zero, ok the waiter take few minutes to get the bottle, maybe is a kind of wine not really common ... by the way it was served at the right temperature Right price..Well welcomed
