On the road to Tolla we decided to make a stop for luncheon in Bastelicaccia. The only restaurant we found was L'Annexe. Despite a late arrival, we have been warmly welcomed. The food was delicious, prices very reasonable and the service very friendly and efficient. Above all it was very clean.

The very nice lady at the winery, when asked for a restaurant recommendation with a focus on good cooking, strongly recommended Auberge du Prunelli, and called to secure us a reservation. She explained, it's not really a place that a lot of tourists patronize, but local people love it, so I should make sure that you get a table. On a warm, late summer day, the terrace was a superb setting, and the tables did indeed fill up.As advised, the food was excellent, with a focus on local products. Trout and wild boar were well prepared and delicious. I almost didn't save room for dessert, which would have been a major blunder. On offer was sheep's milk cheesecake, crustless, made to a traditional recipe, flavored with orange blossom water, about 4 cm thick. The current generation of the family owners, a couple of friendly & enthusiastic brothers, has the ambition to build the most comprehensive collection of Corsican wines on the island, and to make the cellar a venue in its own right.Wine country is often the setting for really good food, and this restaurant upholds that tradition perfectly.

It was our last night in Corsica before flying home and we decided to dine here rather than messing up the villa kitchen, having looked at trip advisor before hand. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance and we were seated promptly having phoned earlier and booking a table. (I would advise to book on a sat and Friday night) Having experienced very generous portions elsewhere we decided to share starters between couples. We were not disappointed. They were large and very good. Our mains were also generous as well and none of us had room for dessert. The food was of a very high standard and everyone agreed that they enjoyed their food. Service was very good and friendly and wasnât intrusive. Prices were a little more than than the neighbors but it was well worth it. The road out front wasnât noisy at all and didnât block the view of the sea. The wine list was good and had a nice selection of local wines. We were all given a shot of Mirto as well which went down well. My wife and I would dine here again. Thank you Rive Sud for a nice night.

Went here to have dinner with my family. No service apart from drinks. Sat there for a while without anyone coming to take out order. The children were now getting hungry and and we were not even offered some bread while the came to take our order.

We decided to try this restaurant cause both the location and the menu attracted us and we were not disappointed indeed! The terrazza has an amazing view on the sea and we were lucky enough to be there during sunset, absolutely gorgeous. The menu too was interesting to us, we tried 3 different main dishes and they were really tasty, the fish itself was of very good quality and this is crucial, but the combination of different tastes was what we loved the most.... delicious, really! The service was very good, the place wants to be classy and the service is up to this standard.. the fact all waiters were also quite nice is a plus. The prices are not the cheapest ones, but I believe they are appropriate to the quality, the presentation and the portions served. It's definitely a place to go to!

The staff were excellent...very friendly and knowledgable. The food was truly delicious. We had scallops and foes gras for starters, Thai pasta and Sea Bream for main course.Beautlifully presented and plenty to eat. Would definitely go back.

We went to Le Menestrel based on the reviews on Tripadvisor, so knew the location was not the greatest but expected good food and service. To summarize our dinner: very poor atmosphere, average to poor food, slow service (though others were clearly served faster). The location is poor, there is nothing cute about the low-end back of a strip mall overlooking low-end housing. There is a cover with vines, but that does not make a huge difference. The chairs and tables are very cheap plastic, what one expects at a low end diner or truck stop, not a restaurant. Our service was super slow. They were not busy on the night. Others did seem to be served more quickly, but for a small, half-empty place, waiting 45 minutes for a salad is ridiculous.Food was variable. The fresh fish was fine, but nothing special. Basically, they bought fresh fish at the market and grilled it and gave one side. No sauces or special spices, and it was a fair amount of work since the fish was not cleaned. I made just as good fish by buying at the local fish store the daily catch and cooking in our apartment with olive oil and lemon. The salad was fine, but boring. One type of green leaves, basic vinaigrette, some slices of the local jambon. The children's menu was plain bad. Old, reheated lasagna (multiple times from how rubbery the cheese was) and freezer-burnt store-bought ice cream. First time my son did not finish chocolate ice cream. They offer a free digestive at the end of the meal.If the price was a third less, maybe would say it was fine, but for the price, poor location and slow service, just not worth the risk. There are much better places in Porticcio.

Partout ou l'homme apporte son travail,il laisse aussi quelque chose de son cÅur. Chez Toinou,il n'y a pas dâétrangers seulement des amis que nous n'avons pas rencontrés
We chose this restaurant on the basis of a recommendation from a local - and Trip Advisor reviews - and were not disappointed. Comfortable friendly atmosphere, a menu you could spend the whole evening reading - and not just the food listings! We chose the menu at 39â¬90 which offered almost everything available a la carte and our only complaint was the sheer volume of food, but it was truly delicious - from a feuillantine of king prawns and scallops, followed by one of the best dishes I have ever tasted, a filet mignon of suckling pig with caramelised apples, prunes and chestnuts - wow! And a dessert of almond and chocolate spring rolls (yes, it really worked) and coffee with a complementary disgestif. Truly excellent - no wonder they can say money back if not satisfied!
