Reviews on Mediterranean food in Ponza Island, Province of Latina, Italy. The caves of Ponza are steeped in mystical mythology—legend has it that Ponza was Homer’s inspiration for the sorceress Circe’s island in The Odyssey. The whole island has a magical feel to it, from the grottoes to the botanical gardens to the underground labyrinth of Roman tunnels. Want to have a real taste of Ponza? Typical and unique dishes with a soft enviroment, romantic breath taking panoramic view. Organize your night starting with an exotic aperitif in a relaxing outdoor lounge, continuing to experience some of the best thing
We dined here on a very windy night which made the experience a little less enjoyable than it otherwise would have been as e whole restaurant is open....of course this also allows a very reefreshing breeze which you need in August in Ponza! We both ate the Amberjack fish - a game fish steak cooked with olives and tomatoes, it was delicious, i am not normally a fan of game fish and enjoyed it very much. We were dining with our two and four year old daughters so did not stay beyond main courses as the restaurant does not have highchairs in which to accomodate them and make our life a little easier while eating....Also the restauarnt does not open until eight which for us with the girls is a little late. However, if your children are used to dining late or you have none, La Campanella is worth a visit!

Acqua Pazza is rewarded with a Michelin star, but we could not really understand why. Most of the dishes were nice, but the orgasm-like feeling you expect at Michelin-restaurant was missing. We took the tasting menu at 75â¬, which was ok value for money. The wine list was good and they recommended a local white wine, which was very good. It is the poshest restaurant on the island and the dishes are well made, but in all honesty I would have expected more for the price.

Usually I avoid panaramic restaurants but as this place was highly recommended by some enthusiastic fellow travellers, I took the chance in July. And returned with a group of friends last week. The starters are excellent but the specialty of the house is the swordfish as the main course. Highly recommended. Attentive service. Good local wines from the region of Lazio and Campania

Simple traditional family run business, delicious food probably the best we had in Ponza, at great prices and in a beautiful location, you'd be mad to miss it if you came to ponza, and if you don't have a car, just rent a moped and drive here

Very original menu, good wine list, some dishes are abundant compared to others looking a bit scarce, lots of guest not too many waiters, some mistakes are unavoidable.

I dine at Angelino and the food and atmosphere were amazing. The restaurant offers a romantic sea view, the wine list is exhaustive as well as the selection of food.

The property is located on the main island of Ponza, enchanting panorama, the possibility to have meals using the tables placed outside the premises, the staff speaks fluent English
When you're sick of pizza and pasta, come here for amazing baguette sandwiches. They even have "cereal" (wheat/grain) baguettes, and they're perfectly chewy inside and crispy outside. This is the only place I saw sliced deli turkey in Italy, and they easily make substitutions/additions to the menu if you're vegetarian or just feeling something else like another cheese. They sandwiches are only about 5 euros! The owner is British, so she obviously speaks English, but the rest of the staff is incredibly warm and will greet you with a smile every time. We initially just popped in for a quick cappuccino (Illy coffee and perfection) before our boat tour next door, and found the interior so charming and clean we came back for lunch after and the next day for takeaway sandwiches for the ferry. We saw many people grabbing sandwiches, prepared salads and cut fruit for picnics or boat rides. The whole place is impeccably clean with sandwich workers in gloves preparing food in front of you, shining display cases and the ultimate clean bathroom! Best place in the port.

Another good place to have dinner on Ponza. Our fish was excellent, as were the pasta dishes and the wine. Good location, with outdoors seating with a view of the ocean. Medium prized, but great quality of food. Would visit again.

The elegance and attention to every detail characterize the Chiaia di Luna, one of the finest restaurants in Ponza, that welcomes guests on the beautiful terrace by the pool. The dishes are prepared with care and refinement, inspired by Mediterranean trad
We normally do not eat at a hotel restaurant, but are glad we did when we stayed at Hotel Chiaia di Luna. This place has it all, fabulous view, excellent food and the best service around. Could not have asked for anything more!

It's a tiny family run restaurant right on the beach of Le Forna. It's set in an amazing landscape, reachable only by boat from the nearby beaches or through a path in the reef. The menu is quite simple and the offer of food is limited as everything they
If you see that this is the best restaurant of Ponza in Trip Advisor's ranking you will certainly imagine it as a very formal restaurant and you will be wrong. It isn't excessively formal and and the waiters, that are the sons of the owner (its name is Franco), and the owner too are very kind and will do everithing to let you spend some time relaxing and tasting amazing food. Also the prices are right for the quality and the taste of the dishes.
