We came here for a family meal on Easter Bank Holiday. Putting it simply ,it was one of the best places I have ever eaten.The quality of the food, pasta and grilled meats is amazing with nicely spaced out ,generous portions.Seconds were offered for anyone who was able to eat more.The staff were friendly and accommodating offering alternatives if one did not eat what was on the set menu.The place is hard to reach ,but well worth a trip,strongly advised !We are very happy for your review! We hope to see you again!

This place is off the beaten path, and well worth the trip. We were worried about how packed the place was on Ferragosto, but the staff did an excellent job. The menu was prefixed for the holiday but the ancient grains the place is known for was well showcased. Delicious bread, amazing pasta and a hearty but not heavy parmigiana! Donât skip the primi piatti or the mousse dessert!!

This is, without doubt, the best meal we have eaten in Italy and I am only sorry it has taken me so long to write this review. We stopped off here on our return journey from Calabria to Rome last summer and were so pleased we found this place. The owners, Antoni and his wife, were so welcoming. He spoke to us at length about the menu and the influences on his food, having lived in the UK he could also speak English which meant we got to know so much more about the way they source and create their food. They made amazing looking pizza and many of the locals were choosing these but my husband chose the T-bone steak and I had a vegetarian pasta dish which was amazing. The steak too was delicious and there were touches of their time in the UK on the menu which enhanced the experience. It's a rustic kind of place but with high quality ingredients and a real focus on local produce, Antoni told us all about the food they grow themselves as well as where he sources other ingredients. To add to the experience he also took us on a tour of the property and to see the balsamic vinegar being aged in oak barrels; we had this on a salad and it was sensational. We are clinging on to the last drips that we bought from him. The wine was home made and delicious. It was a fantastic way to end our holiday and we were only sorry not to be spending more time in the area so that we could have eaten there again. I really hope their family have continued success at this place, they definitely deserve it. We're contemplating a return journey just to eat there! We even got tips on local tourist attractions which we would never have known about and an invite to come back the next day to watch the bread making process! Finally, we followed this place on Sat nav which wasn't great, it's easily accessible on the road which leads up from the motorway to the old town but far better to ask a local even with our very limited Italian.

Non ne conoscevamo l'esistenza e adesso sappiamo cosa ci eravamo persi.La prima parte dell'antipasto - all'italiana - ci è piaciuto per la qualità dei salumi, ma niente di che. Il bello è arrivato con gli antipasti personalizzati - caldi - e con pietanze locali.I paccheri con i funghi semplicemente squisiti; buono il vino rosso della casa.Cortesi e professionali: bene.

Posto tranquillo, pulito e simpatico. Proprio una tavola calda come la desideravo.Servizio veloce, anche si ci mettono 2 minuti in più ti chiedono scusa.Porzione imbarazzante che si non le dico al simpatico di Francesco "Basta" continua a mettere roba e mi chiederete il prezzo; rispondo subito: Un pranzo completo a 8,50â¬!!!!

We were tired of driving so got a room here. The people don't speak English but not a problem. Beds are hard, rooms dated - but clean. The surprise was the restaurant! Wonderful pasta, fish... very reasonably priced

We happened upon Al Cinghiale during a rest stop on our journey north. There was no menu, instead the waiter listed the first and second dishes. Several pastas and 4 or 5 meat dishes. We choose the lamb, scallopine and the pasta al ragù. All were very good. The lamb was excellent! All the ingredients were very fresh and the bread was exceptional (bread baking is a passion of mine). Excellent food combined with a beautiful ambiance, excellent service and an amazing view made for a wonderful lunch. And to top it all off, the price was very reasonable (especially considering the large portions). I will go out of my way to visit again on my next trip south.

We were driving from Amalfi to Tropea and decided pick a random place to eat on the way. How lucky were we to find this place and Elvira. What a wonderful woman. The food was fresh, organic, local and delicious. Please do not hesitate to go here. It was like visiting someone's home with a restaurant setting. We loved this place and still talk about it. Thank you Elvirathank you very much our greatest satisfaction is when all our guests feel at home. we await you with cordiality.

Went there because we stayed in good hotel nearby and read good reviews on tripadvisor. We where not dissapointed ! Pizza s were fredhly made crisp in a woodoven and tasted delicious price for a whole pizza from 3-4-5 euros with good fresh toppings a real pizxeria to go to when youre in the neigbhourhood of polla the pizzeria has also meat and pasta and so on at the menu and was just of the autstrada motorway so a delicious stop here.
